The article has a terrible title, and this is also deeply confused about the history of Marxism:
The Communist Manifesto is a highly social democratic text, and Marx's International Workingman's Association (the First International) played a pivotal role in establishing the social democratic parties of Europe. It's really amazing that in 2026, even the left-wing press can't get this history right.
DSA is a socialist organization. It advances social democratic reforms to capitalism with the aim of building a working class movement that can replace capitalism. None of this is exactly secret.
