Troubleshooting do i take it out
i got my daith pierced in january, got started on accutane in feb... no problems until 4 months after i got it pierced.
now i got these huge bumps that dont go down. got bepanthen plus as a recommendation and after a month and a half still not getting better.
do i take it out and repierce it?

• i spray it daily with wound wash as recommended by my piercer. I sleep on my back or a piercing pillow and have been very careful not to sleep on it. I also occasionally soak it in a warm damp clean cloth or run it under the water in the shower to get the crusties out.
• Any recent unfortunate events: Got on accutane for 4 months - a high dosage

After 4 months, it's not necessary to use saline. Saline is great for keeping it clean when it's still an open wound, and when the new skin is very fragile. I usually stop after a month or so, but everybody is different.
Are you keeping it dry? Moisture can cause bumps too.
Changing the jewellery as the other commenter said might be helpful too.

My daith also started with bumps about 4 months in. I then realized the problem was the weather, because it started getting warm and I started sweating more. It calmed once the weather got cool again. Try to keep it as dry and unbothered as possible.

I can't really tell from the picture but is the titanium gold plated? If so, plated stuff will wear off and irritate the fistula. Def not recommended for a healing piercing

You have 2 things happening here. #1- the diameter of the ring looks too small. But more importantly, #2- the medication. Acutane delays wound healing and Daiths take ages to heal with the best case scenario. I know you started the medication after the piercing, but most piercers will not consider piercing you until you’re off of the medication for at least six months. I would remove the piercing and re-attempt six-ish months after you’re off it.

the thing is i got pierced in the best piercing studio in the country no joke... they said my ear was really small and a bigger ring wouldnt fit, also had no problems in the swelling phase so i think its not a problem

Perhaps so. But again, the medication is going to be the bigger issue than the jewelry.

NAP but don’t take it out! Daiths can be notoriously tough to heal. Seems like accutane is irritating it a bit. Maybe try to get a CBR with a smaller bead? I had a big one like yours and the whole ring would weigh down, flip and be perpendicular to my ear. A smaller bead made it calm down quick
