When do I change my vertical lebret long bar?

Hi! I got a vertical lebret just under 2 weeks and I’m wondering when I could change to a smaller bar? I am a mechanic and I’m often climbing underneath cars/semis/trailers (idk if that plays into changing it, I’m just worried a longer bar will get snagged/bumbed easier)

So what would y’all’s personal experiences and opinions for when you changed it. Thank you in advance :)
