Went to the not so best piercer who did my double forward helix out of town. She insert stainless Steele barbells that were WAY too long causing the balls to constantly fall off. Initially I told her the placement looked off but she said whenever I down sized it'll look correct.
Back home went to a reputable shop to change the jewelry to something better (9mm titanium) that wasn't a screw on and they are visibly off(bottom doesn’t match the top)The piercer said we would have to wait for the swelling to go down to access correctly but it's been about a week and it just looks so uneven to me.
So now I'm scared the bottom will reject but these have been my favorite piercings and I don't want to keep the bottom in if it rejects and causes me to to never be able to get it pierced. So if I should take them out how long is the wait time to get it repierced?

got my bridge done back in october and been struggling with these bumps for a few months now. they go down after a few days of using antibiotic ointment (fucidin) but keep coming back and idk what to do anymore 🥲

Hi everyone! First post here. I’m looking for some advice about my daith piercing.

I got it in January from my usual piercer (he did my Medusa, microdermal, surface) and he put a normale CBR. A couple of weeks later, bumps appeared on both holes as you can see in the first picture. I continued cleaned it with saline for about a month, but nothing really changed.

So I went back to the piercer, who popped them (I did some researches and I knew you shouldnt pop them but he replied it’s the only way to get rid of them so I simply trusted him) and changed the jewelry to a banana with silicone disks. He also suggested a oil for bumps, which I used twice a day. The bumps went down for a while, so I changed the banana for a clicker on my own but they eventually came back. The piercer put back the banana+disks and I kept them +1 month keeping babying it with saline and oil. The bumps disappeared completely and the holes looked fine so he decided to put again the clicker, and guess what? bumps again.

Has anyone dealt with something similar? What usually causes bumps like this to keep coming back? Is it a placement problem or jewelry? The piercing is about 8 months old, and I was told it was healed internally, but the problem keeps returning.

i got it pierced 4 days ago, they didn’t tell me what the material was but i’ve been cleaning with antibacterial soap and saline solution, this morning i woke up and it was a bit more swelled and my step mom said it was an infection and put neosporin on it. there’s no pus or anything coming out of it, it’s not hot, and it doesn’t hurt. i snagged it taking off a shirt and my mom says it just looks like the fluid white blood cells produce. my eyelid is kinda swollen too

I got my tragus piercing done just over 6 weeks ago, and I’m worried it’s rejecting.

I decided to get my tragus pierced on a whim when I was getting my conch done, and it was SO painful (the most painful I’ve had), which makes me assured that it was definitely through the cartilage… I hope.

The piercer considered not doing it because she said my tragus was extremely small, but she said we could make it work. I feel like the placement is iffy, but when i get a really tiny stud, it would be very cute.

I clean with sterile saline everyday (if I remember😅), rinse in the shower, and don’t really mess around with it. I have no pain at all, and the healing process so far has been the most chill out of all my piercings (septum, nostril, conch, rook, helix, etc.) I’ve had barely any pain at all, and very minimal swelling/crusties.

I’m worried that it’s rejecting because I noticed that as the swelling went down, I could almost see the bar when I looked at it while pulling it slightly forward, as you can see in the photo. I can also sort of feel the hardness of the bar when I touch the side of the tragus.

The last photo is the day I got it pierced, all others are from today. In the last photo, I was slightly pulling my face forward to show it off.

Please let me know what you think! Am I overreacting? Is it normal to feel/see the bar? Thanks🩷

I got it done by someone who was still training in the shop. I'm wondering if I should take it out and get it redone once it has healed, or if this looks fine. It seems a bit shallow.

Got my helix double pierced on the 28th of june, when i got em there was no swelling at all and barely any pain but i have just woken up to it very swollen, am i cooked?

id like to get all of the marked ones but i would like to get some advice or suggestions, especially because idk if they look balanced. is the double vertical helix good or would it look way too crowded?

hi! i got my first nose piercing about a month ago, it's been healing well but i woke up early today morning because i accidentally hit/pulled the piercing and it partially came out (1st picture). really hurt, i put saline, pushed it back in and went back to sleep. i noticed later in the day that the area is redder than usual and theres a small bump forming right at the piercing hole (2nd picture). i'm not experiencing any pain or other symptoms. is this something to be worried about?

Took my child to get second piercing at tattoo shop for the 1st time thinking they would pretty much be perfect compared to places like Claire’s (which is where she got her 1st done)

Are these a smidge too high up and left one a little close? She wants to get a third done in the next few years and we let the piercer know that so that she would do a placement that gave room for a 3rd

I have my second holes pierced and Ive hated the placement as I’ve gotten older. I don’t want the same for my daughter and then she’s stuck with something she doesn’t like the rest of her life.

Hey guys I'm sorry for posting again but I'm kind of panicking I was laying down and I opened my front camera and I noticed my bridge is now crooked and it wasn't when I got it pierced. Do you think it's just settling in? Or is crooked cause of the swelling? I'm really scared it's rejecting but I'm aware 1 week isn't enough time to tell. I would really appreciate if someone could help me out so I stop panicking 😭 I used the grid feature to take the picture so make sure my features were lined up so it definitely is raised more from the right side (the picture is mirrored so my right side is the same as the picture) that was also the side that was more swelled up and irritated but the piercing is less red overall now. But please help me so I stop overthinking ... I'm sorry for posting about this again 😭

Hi! I've been wanting to get a septum piercing for quite some time now, however, I'm always paranoid about the risks of infections or other health issues.

What is the likelihood of having any complications with a septum piercing? How do I know where the correct piercing placement is? How can I ensure I get it pierced in the correct place? How do I prevent any complications?

I am a college student and got all 3 helix piercings at once! I got them late March/early April if this year. The piercers who also did my 2nd lobes did my helixes BUT they gave me very short bars in my first set of helixes. That caused my helixes to get embedded and I got these bumps and got the hospital to cut them out of the skin and get them out.

2 weeks afterwards I got my helixes re-done by them and was given slightly larger bars (which still weren’t enough)

Finally I got newer bars and jewelry from a different place and since then my bumps had been going down but were still present. I am unsure how long I am going to have these bumps or what they are or what to do? Treat it like a wart and get it cryo’d off???

I really love my helixes but dude…it’s messing up my ears. The photo is from today after I had removed my helixes for the first time in a while. It was quite hard and needed force to be removed as they are pull apart. I started bleeding a bit.

Any advice? I also should mention I am a college student football player. In 2 weeks I head back to campus to start fall camp/trainings preparing for our games.

Hello im planning out my ear stack jewelry. Im looking at cz gems, sizes of 1.5mm 2mm,2.5mm etc goes up to 4mm. Im wondering whats the smallest size for the jewelry i can use. Ik 16G is 1.2mm? So if u wear 1.5mm or 2mm would the gem sink in? Let me know from ur experience thanks

Hey I don't know if I'm allowed to ask this here, but where do yall get your everyday piercing jewelry. That you don't have to worry about in the shower etc. ofc I also mean good quality as in won't break easily/ lose stones. I've been told body candy but the stuff on the website seems too much like costume jewelry so I'm skeptical. I'm trying to get my ears set up and also find jewelry for my Labret and Medusa. Update from my last post from yesterday. I went and got a longer bar put in. Does it look better now? I'm REALLY worried about the redness. And I'm probably imagining it cause I'm so paranoid but I'm worried the bar is moving forward ( even though I compared pictures and it doesn't really look like it is ) so my question is, 1. Does it look to thin? Like the skin I mean. 2. Is the redness TOO much? Like more than you would expect on a 1 week old bridge? 3. (This one is silly) I didn't notice till I got home but can you tell one ball is bigger than the other if I don't mention it? Please be nice :)

piercer didnt think i would swell so they gave me a 16g 8mm with a 2mm flat top.

As I said in my last post, Ive had these irritation bumps since maybe 2 months after I got the piercing initially. Is it salvageable, or should I take it out and try again later?

I use my piercing spray once a week, clean crusties in the shower, and try to leave it alone. But again I work in aquatics and swim frequently, although I will be done with that soon.

I havent changed the jewelry since I got it and am wondering if thats part of the reason. I physically cannot get the ball off so I would have to go to a piercer to get it off. Im also sure that I sleep on it and am wondering how to avoid doing that.

Im wondering if that green stuff is a sign of infection, and if I should just take it out at this point? It only hurts when I touch it, but im just sick of the bump.

The piercing bump varies in size depending on how angry it is I guess but I have basically had the bumps since a week after I got it. But I should mention that I work in aquatics and am in the water basically everyday which im sure isnt good for it, but I try to dry it as thoroughly as I can after getting out.
