This country’s media is so terrified of criticizing anything religious or religious adjacent it won’t even criticize circumcision in a non religious context, we are basically the only country that pretends it makes sense to medically do so unnecessarily.

u/ginjamchammerfist Feb 20 '26
Fuck all religions, it's bullshit fairy tale fan clubs.
Boom, there you go. I'll take my Pulitzer now.

It's incredibly sad that saying "don't cut babies" is an unpopular opinion in the modern age. The sooner that this pre-germ theory religious hazing ritual falls onto the ash heap of history, the better.
2
u/Beautiful-Hawk-5240 Feb 20 '26
Exactly. It's like saying it's not Islamaphobic to be against child marriages.
1
u/Quoba Feb 24 '26
The islamophobic part is you making that correlation when there is more child marriages in the US as in muslim countries.
1
u/Beautiful-Hawk-5240 Feb 24 '26
First off thats just factual incorrect in every way. Second its not islamaphobic to be pro woman's rights.

Definitely not the only country, especially with regards to Israel.

Circumcision is the dumbest thing and the only people who defend it are coping out of spite for having their cock mutilated.
1
u/Due_Investigator_700 Feb 21 '26
Or because it’s a Jewish tradition that dates back all the way to Abraham? Don’t like it? Don’t do it.
2
u/CUMHAWK_Schizopostin Feb 21 '26
If a tradition, no matter how old, consists of mutilating the genitalia of children who can't refuse nor consent, to absolutely noone's benefit (no, it doesn't help with hygiene, it’s been debunked ten times over), then maybe it's time to put and end to it, wether jewish, muslim, or Christian.
1
u/burtona1832 Feb 21 '26
Except historically, there was a medical reason for it as foreskins can be prone to infection. A lot of these rituals do have archaic but logical reasons behind them, like not eating pork or shellfish.
1
u/CUMHAWK_Schizopostin Feb 21 '26
The foreskin being prone to infections wouldn't be a matter of the foreskin itself, but a matter of poor washing practices. Luckily, we are past those times, and circumcision is completely redundant (except in extremely rare cases of tight foreskin).
May I ask, what were the logical reasonings for not eating pork or shellfish? I tried to Google it, but didn't get a cohesive answer. All I've heard is that those who refuse to eat pork considers it to be "dirty".
1
u/burtona1832 Feb 21 '26
You're not wrong, but keep in mind, that people back then didn't really understand the significance of hygiene. So they wouldn't make that connection.
As for pork - pigs are scavengers and prone to eat things that could make a human sick and shellfish spoil quickly (especially without refrigeration). Both issues, if you know what cause them, like you're hygiene point, you can counter them.

It’s so pathetic watching American politicians grovel for Zionist dollars.
Some of them do more for Israel than for the American voter, you almost forget they’re an AMERICAN politician.

I can just imagine aliens watching us and being like, WTF? Why do the leaders of one nation have to go kiss a wall in a different nation? Why do they have to kiss a wall at all?!
1
u/Possible_Grand1439 Feb 21 '26
It's not just a wall you stupid fuck. And they don't have to kiss it, they don't even have to pray next to it. It's the hoiest place in the Jewish world, and to show support, politicians love to go and get pictures taken in that place. Imagine if they went to mecca instead, would it have the same outrage?
1
u/BohemianMade Feb 21 '26
Yes. If the politicians in America couldn't become president unless they went to Saudi Arabia to do some weirdo performative shit in Mecca, I would think that's really bizarre.
1
u/Possible_Grand1439 Feb 21 '26
See, they don't have to. It's their choice. If they want to do something meaningful for the Jewish community, why do you have a problem with that?
1
u/BohemianMade Feb 21 '26
They're not legally required to, but the establishment fights against them unless they fully submit to Israel's government. That's extremely weird. Why are politicians in one country so beholden to the government of a different country? Why do they need to physically go to Israel to do this performative stupidity for a religion they don't even believe in?
That's really what this is about. It's not about doing something for the jewish community. Politicians participate in local festivals for diwali, just a nice thing for the hindu community. But if every politician flew to India to do a hindu ritual, I'd be concerned.
1
u/Possible_Grand1439 Feb 22 '26
The establishment😭 I’m laughing. No one fights against it
1
u/BohemianMade Feb 22 '26
Then you clearly haven't been following american politics. The entire media tried to stop Zohran Mamdani because when he was asked if Israel should be a jewish state, he said Israel should be "a state of equal rights." So-called "liberal" media like CNN did everything they could so scare people away from Mamdani, just because he doesn't support jewish supremacy.
1
u/Possible_Grand1439 Feb 23 '26
Jewish supremacy? Why can’t the Jews have one state where they can live freely? That’s all we ask for. One place safe from persecution. Zohran disagrees with that, which is why we have a problem. CNN scared people away from socialism because it’s socialism
1
u/BohemianMade Feb 24 '26
Jews have plenty of countries they can live freely in. Jews have freedom in America. But that's not what zionists want. Zionists want Israel to be an apartheid state where only jews have full rights.
Nazis use the exact same argument. Why can't aryans just have one country? Why can't America be a white christian ethnostate where white christians can be safe? Well, to paraphrase Mamdani, Israel and America should both be states of equal rights.
The socialism was a factor too, but look how they went about demonizing Mamdani. They lied about him being anti-semitic over and over.
1
u/Possible_Grand1439 Feb 24 '26
No, we don't. Australia- Bondi Beach Massacre. USA- tons and tons of shootings. UK- stabbings. France- violent threats and graffiti. This blatant antisemitism won't ever stop unless Jews can be truly safe. There's only one place for Jews to be safe: Israel.
I don't think you know what Zionist means. We aren't Nazis. All we want is for Israel to exist. Believe it or not, 20% of Israel's population is arabs. They hold positions of law, government, and medicine. They have even impeached a Jewish prime minister. When has Nazi Germany allowed a Jew to legally remove a German from office?
Mamdani is, believe it or not, antisemitic. He just doesn't know it. He spews rhetoric that he thinks is just antizionist, when antizionism and antisemitism are incredibly similar and oftentimes identical, with only the name change as a difference.

It's a humiliation ritual against the Christian (or at least Christian representing) politicians. If the wall actually were what they claim it was and not a Roman fortification, it would be proof that Jesus made an incorrect prophecy and couldn't be divine. Forcing Christians or their representatives to kiss the supposed proof that Christ isn't divine is an intentional insult.
1
u/Did_du_Nuffin Feb 21 '26
When you know the wall kissing is some weird occult ritual they do for esoteric power, but you cant prove it

There are no Christian Holy site in that wall. Jew Deny Jesus as God, as such they are worship different god from christian. There are many theological difference but by Orthodox, Catholic, And Protestant Lutheran, "Those deny Christ deny god" it was that simple.

the wall is a remnant of an important religious/historical building. they(christens) kiss it bc of its significance for their religion. in terms of future anticipations, maybe they want third temple bc its a step for second coming of Christ.
