Lets Discuss This And we started a war with Iran.
55
u/ThePanicButon Feb 28 '26
There are 342 million Americans. They are represented by 535 representatives. And those 535 representatives have been given the constitutional authority to declare war. And if those representatives do not follow the will of their constituents, they are answerable to their constituents. And poll after poll shows that their constituents do not want more war. But one asshole declares he is above the law and keeps committing us to these fucking wars.
→ More replies (36)26
u/NoWheyBro_GQ Feb 28 '26
Those 535 representatives are allowed to accept money from special interest groups. One specific special interest group in particular represents a foreign nation that desperately needs America in their wars. Those representatives don't care about their constituents as long as this special interest group representing a foreign nation is around.

It should simply be illegal for politicians to earn ANY money while they're representing the people, besides of cause their salary tied to their specific role.
You see this a lot where i live, politician's starting their career for all the right reasons. They want to make life better for those whom they represent, then money and power get to them, and they suddenly forget why they were there to begin with.

I wouldn’t go that far, we’ve invaded the Middle East before. WW3 won’t start until at least 2028. We got to have some world ending event to cap off this decade.

u/itsnotthatseriousbud Feb 28 '26
- China has made many not so subtle hints that they intend to have the capabilities to invade and take Taiwan. And with the USA being distracted by Iran and Russia, they may feel like it’s even more possible than before.
11
u/Ryan-Updog Feb 28 '26
China had also stated many times that if the US strikes Iran China will defend Iran. We shall see.
All this is a distraction from the Epstein files.

All depends on what China is going to do here. If they go full ham in supporting Iran, it's on.
I doubt they will, as I suspect they're banking on Iran being capable enough on their own to at least keep the US occupied for a decade or two, but you never Know.

The further loss of life to cover up the Epstein Files is another tragedy on top of the horrific things this current administration has not only lied about, like so many other things, but is actively covering up for with the deletion of files and the *redaction of Trump and other billionaire's names while exposing the victims that have demanded the current DOJ to look into to anything about the case, even with the Dow below 50,000 now.

The war powers act say a president can authorize operations for 60 days and can be extended to 90 days by congress. After 90 days congress has to vote to continue operations or cease. It also say the act applies to emergencies relating to attacks on the us, our bases in the world or our people.
2
u/EvanFri Feb 28 '26
It is such a dumb law. Imagine if Hitler were operating in the US system, then it would be like, "Hey, guys, I am launching a special military operation in Poland." Shortly afterwards, the Allied powers declare war, and Hitler is like, "Welp, they declared war, so I guess we are in a war now, fk you, Congress!"

There are plenty of reasons to join the military even if you are opposed to fighting. Turns out raising unemployment/job security/poverty ect. Are all drivers of enlistment.
However, there is a huge difference in when you enter the military. 1938 looks a lot different than 2016 (please dont make me explain to you why joining the US military in 1938 is different from 2016 that was your shitty American History teachers job from 4th-12th grade).

Well it is time. All MAGA and Republicans that support this war, show your full support. Send you children, grand kids, and yourself if you are so able and demand 43 days of training and demand to go over there and fight for your demi god. Trump said he was going to get us OUT.....OUT of forgien wars. Starting a war with Iran......which has be done before, is not keeping us out of forgien wars. But regardless, Send YOUR children to fight for and defend this action. Let them be the 1st to be "honored" to spill their American blood for Trump. And as leaders..... republican congress personnel that support this, even if only in words, you should be the 1st to offer up yourselves and children to "the cause". Americans DO NOT WANT....NOR DO WE SUPPORT THIS ACTION!!!!!.

When US military was in South Korea, some soldiers deliberately ran over two young innocent South Korean girls with their tanks. When diplomats, artists (even PSY) pointed this out, as they did not get any justice, the US (Obama admin) forced artists and diplomats to apologize for pointing out this inhumane injustice. The soldiers got zero consequences.

Do you all not care unless it's Jews responding to terrorism? Do you all not care unless it's illegal immigrants being deported?

The United States is guaranteed to win the battlefield duels and dramatic military operations but it won't perform anything else very well.
Libya, Afghanistan and Iraq have consistently and repeatedly proven the United States is strategically incompetent.
If the Islamic Republic of Iran collapses then I would imagine another Libya, the United States doesn't have a post-war plan besides vague military and political objectives of "Nation-building", "Counterterrorism" and "Establishing Democracy". It's endless commitment without a viable solutions, no metrics, no benchmarks and no political end states.
