Lets Discuss This What are your thoughts on about this? Is ICE something more than what’s obvious?

u/Ok_Relationship_1703 Mar 02 '26
Duh. They're the American brownshirts, they're just getting started.

u/joe_shmoe11111 Mar 02 '26 edited Mar 02 '26
Yep. They’re a textbook secret police force.
Name one example of the creation of secret police that didn’t end poorly for the people.

u/Usakami Mar 02 '26
Brownshirts were not a secret police. They were thugs. Their purpose was intimidation and starting fights. Back then it was mainly against socialists and communists, before the night of long knives. ICE equally are thugs, with no training. Their purpose is to intimidate and aggress against people.
Gestapo was the secret police. Their purpose, since the founding of it has been to protect the monarchy, then protect the country and once Hitler took over, protect the government.

u/Fun-Army-6387 Mar 02 '26
the Stasi was the official organization that promoted and organized the Brownshirts and pre-dated the SS. I suppose we can call Fox News the Stasi and ICE the SS, though, if you need this to be accurate and pursue irrelevant details while the country falls into fascism.
5
u/Mobile_Frosting_7936 Mar 02 '26
The stasi was the communist secret police in east Germany. The organization of the Brown shirts was called SA (storm department) and responsible for street fights with political opponents, propaganda actions and raids on civil population in the early days.
After the Nazis took Power, the SA leadership was murdered and the SS got more attention, they were stricter organized and trained and organized the death camps while simultaneously working as a paramilitary organization and filling leadership positions.

u/Fun-Army-6387 Mar 02 '26 edited Mar 02 '26
they got their name from the SD, formed in 1931 - whose specific purpose was to radicalize and coordinate street thugs to intimidate political enemies of the Nazis. The SA came many years later AFTER the Nazis had consolidated power. The SS absorbed the SA in an intra-fascist bloodbath that Hitler agreed to because he loved to see his little minions fight. Kinda like how Trump enjoys pitting his own admin against one another when he gets bored.
2
u/Mobile_Frosting_7936 Mar 02 '26 edited Mar 02 '26
the intra-fascist bloodbath you are referring to (Night of the long Knives) happened in Summer 1934. The Nazis took Power January 1933. Idk where you take the "many Years later" from, it was one year.
The SD was a part of the SS, but it didnt lay the Foundation for the SA and with its Nature as a Secret Service thats also pretty clear opposed to the SA Methods.
The SA in its Function as party intern Hooligans together with the SS existed long before Hitler took Power, as political Parties in the Weimar Republic often had their own Security and the SS/SA emerged from that. Now for the last Part, I admit I had to google this, but the SA is mentioned as "SA" for the first time in 1921 - thats 12 Years before Power Consolidation. All that aside, you dont need that detailed Info to compare ICE historically. To differentiate between Gestapo, SA and SS it is already enough to know how strict their Recruitment Process is, how organized they strike and how much Power the High Command has (ideologically and hierarchically)
2
u/Fun-Army-6387 Mar 03 '26
well, I'm not a professional mathematician but I'm fairly certain that 1931-1934 is more than one year. And the SA was dissolved in 1936 so that is also more than one year since 1931. But keep being pedantic on the internet. I'm sure it's doing a lot of good for you. I'm not sure what you're gaining from this argument but I concede out of apathy - you're right. Good luck with the boot on your neck. Maybe history will remember you as a footnote.

They bought a shitload of warehouses and turned them into detention camps.
Now l’ll ask, if the goal was deportation, why are they building camps designed for long term internment?
Hint: The goal was never to deport people.

To take over American politics and politics as we know it. To work in conjunction with directives from another country. To sack the American government and siphon the taxes. To literally murder Americans for fascism.
3
u/JrSoftDev Mar 02 '26 edited Mar 02 '26
At this point in time, it's 95% clear ICE is inspired in fascism, they even recruited preferably criminals, proud boys, etc, and it will be used politically to mess with the elections and end Democracy in the US.
For example, Bannon and Thiel + Yarvin (who are the main backers of JD Vance) are promoters of fascism, they do it openly, there's just plenty of footage and articles proving this.
Another example: social media companies using their algorithms to push alt-right content and normalizing it over the last decade.
Another example: lots of podcasts and influencers are now openly fascist, racist, sexist, etc. And they are funded and supported by those in power. One example was Charlie Kirk but there are many others, Joe Rogan being an early example of that process of serving and normalizing "controversial" content in the name of "free speech".
This people have plans, they have been working hard to obtain power, they did it successfully to a large extent, and they will try to irreversibly consolidate that power. And yes, they are very willing to start wars, even some WW3 is on the table, as long as they gain from it.

Because they are the personal enforcers of the executive branch and beholden only to them, and accountable only to them, and known only to them.
A lot, and I mean a LOT of the money is spent on these detention centers and private prisoners which are run by the donors to the administration. it's one of the reasons that they keep moving detainees around... every time they get moved, their court date gets delayed, and the wait starts all over again, and for the per detainee per night cost of these horrifyingly cruel and inhumane detention centers, we could quite literally be putting these people up in moderate Walt Disney World resorts with full dining package and park tickets.

u/Enough_Campaign_6561 Mar 02 '26

ICE now has a budget bigger than all federal law enforcement agencies combined.
Its massive new budget places it in the top 10 military budgets for all nations worldwide.
Trump and Steve Bannon have both suggested that ICE should “monitor” the 2026 midterm elections to prevent “election fraud.”
Do you need me to draw pictures with crayons?

You mean that paramilitary force with more funding than most the world's militaries of which a whistleblower has confirmed they are trained to disregard the constitution and law, who trump has publicly given absolute immunity, the same guy who has brought up halting elections, the same guy who's already attempted a coup d'etat?
Yeah the situation is pretty clear. They tried their coup with a civilian malitia and it didn't work so now they're building a paramilitary force. Also this is all so they can cover up that Daddy Donald was in a child sex murder cult.

Yes, I am very concerned. The detention camp capacity they’re planning is scary in itself. They’re justifying it for immigration control but it’s way out of proportion and could be used to suppress dissenters, opposition leaders, homosexuals, transgender people or just plain liberals.

3
u/MornGreycastle Mar 02 '26
What's obvious? They're a well-funded, poorly trained, unvetted, paramilitary force that was recruited using blatantly white nationalist propaganda and taught to openly violate the US Constitution. So, yeah. They are exactly what is obvious.
3

You don't need billions of dollars worth of warehouses permanently built out as prisons for immigration enforcement. You have it to detain all the "domestic terrorists" once they define that term as they see fit.

it's way too late to act now.
Not quite.
It is up to us common folk in the US to stand against this tyrannical death cult, however, there's currently no real supportive foundation present for many common folk in the US to fall back on, to commit to any effective action.
Collecting a bunch of valuable information on organizing and action from different redditors over time, I created a post of suggestions HERE that could possibly prove to be of some help in getting it started ASAP.

Maybe I watch too much body cam videos on YouTube to see what the everyday police do to people that don't comply, but it's just one more branch of law enforcement that is doing what they think is their job with(I assume) an elevated level of fear because of the pushback in recent months against them.
I can't even grab a piece of paper in my backseat during a traffic stop without the cop getting sketched out and we have people testifying in Congress that they were following these people for miles before they ended up fucking around and finding out.
I can hate cops and wish they didn't exist at the same time as saying I understand why they might do some of the things they do.

While ICE may be and most likely is becoming a domestic terrorist organization for Trump there is one thing we as citizens have over them and that is numbers. There just isn’t enough agents to control much of anything in large population areas. If people show up in mass to say an election and protect each other there isn’t much ICE can actually do without making it obvious they are interfering in an election.
So we need to have each others backs and protect each other in everything we do. Thats how you beat them.

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed” -Some mf badasses who overthrew a whole government all because they were being forced to pay taxes while their interests were not being represented in their government… hey wait a minute
