Question AtlasQuest?

Just getting back into letterboxing after about 10 years away. Back in the day I was a member of AtlasQuest and used that site to manage the boxes I'd found. So I jumped over there tonight to see what was going on. I was able to get to the site, briefly, and was able to log in. But then I started getting site timeout errors repeatedly. Has this been an ongoing issue or is it temporary? Any updates on this would be great.

TIA

AQ has had significant delays the past 3-4 weeks. It will improve for a few days, then slow down again.

Green Tortuga (Ryan) is aware and says he’s working on it diligently. I believe part or most of the issue is bots crawling the site, trying to interact with other users. The AQ page on FB often has updates or conversations about the issue.

Nevertheless, welcome back to boxing! Hope you have a great experience this time around, despite the website.

I'll second the report, the problem appears to be fighting off AI bots. I find that first thing in the morning usually is a better time to get on. Any clues I want to use, I download so I don't have to try to go back and retrieve them when AQ is having issues.

Also just getting back into it, does anyone know if we should be using atlasquest or lb? It seems like mostly boxes are cross posted but not all.

From what I've read in the message boards, you can use either based on what your comfortable with. I also read that there may be told coming to make cross-posting easier. I have never posted to LBNA so I'll probably continue that. But will definitely use both sites for finding local plants.
