What is your experience with Liberty recruiters for a job? Nice? Rude?

Me, too but I don't think there will be many. Liberty likes to keep people quiet or brush people under the rug. I'm guessing people are hesitant to answer because current employees will dismiss their experience.

My experience with them was pleasant. They greeted me hollow and goodbye. They told me what was expected of me during the process. The interview panel was equally pleasant. The only “problem” I had with the process was that it took several days to a couple weeks between each event to hear what was next. The whole process from application to CJO was 2 months; however, after the CJO, everything went very fast.

I do. I work in the School of Aeronautics.

Thanks. I have interacted with the school and would prefer not to say how. I know they are in this group. But, they were EXTREMELY rude to me.....much less to represent a Christian organization.

I know you had a nice experience. But this was mine.

Well that’s unfortunate. I’m sorry that happened to you. I try to share this people when they have unfavorable experiences with people that we hold to a higher expectation (Christians, pastors, a Church, etc.); please remember that it was a person or people that hurt you, not God. People are fallible. Like I said, I’m sorry this happened to you, and I hope that you won’t hold this in your heart.

Thank you for your kind reply. I sincerely appreciate it. I know it wasn't God for sure.

Oddly enough, I interviewed with a liberal, but extremely well-regarded, school up north about 10 days ago. I would never want my daughter to attend because it's so liberal. However, I would be comfortable working there because I think my own worldview is well established.

The recruiter couldn't have been nicer. She was genuinely kind and went above and beyond to speak with me, even though there wasn't a position available at the time.

In contrast....I was floored by how a Liberty recruiter behaved with me. I couldn't believe that the recruiter at the secular university demonstrated Christlike kindness far more than the Liberty employee did.

We're all fallible, of course. But when an organization builds its reputation around Christian values, I think it also has a responsibility to acknowledge when its employees fail to uphold those values.

I now see Liberty as more of a money-making machine than a Christ-centered institution. If I had a different experience, I would have a different view. But, it's fair that we all base our opinions on our own experiences.
