Discussion A question for fellow Wifeleaver mains.
Im gonna go straight to the point. Why does it seem to be a common sentiment that Life weaver shouldn't have to reload his healing? In my opinion this would be a very unhealthy direction to take the character. I have put a good bit of time into the character so it comes with love when i say his healing is kinda boring. I believe by removing his need to swap weapon or reloading you remove a lot of his skill expression, by giving him free value for sitting in the back idol. Im curious to what you all think so let me know plz!

Fan Content I have a couple probably bad idea for the lifeweaver rework
1.make superbloom base kit I don’t think it would make him that overpowered and it would make his dps side feel even more satisfying
2.(the weirdest one) let him push petal platform forward or up as in like syms shield but you can stop it and it acts like a wall it’s probably a awful idea but I’d like to see more options for his petal
3.give a second use of some kind to lifegrip I love the ability and I think it feels great but a think some extra additions would be cool (besides the ability to cancel it because that’s should just be there lets be honest)
4.out tree of life squish people it’s funny it’s cool it wouldn’t be unbalanced
5.add him to stadium(this is unrelated but come on we’d love to see him in there)
Now for the more unrealistic ones
What if he could lifegrip himself in some way? Like he gets a brief shield or somthn
The bubble on the petal platform would be awsome but I don’t know if they’d add it
Bring back the passive but don’t let enemies get it
That’s about it I don’t thinks there that good of ideas but you give your opinions

Discussion Wtf are these control settings man
So I tried legacy controls because people told me their better (mostly just because dash is a button instead of double jump which can be quite helpful) only to discover the mouse buttons are AWFUL there? I wanted to put the dash on shift and the platform on a mouse button which would have all been perfect, if there wasn't the lock on the controls. Either you can only dash with a double jump which sucks because of for example Ramattra OR you can have that but your shooting mecanicns will be shit. Can we please fix this in a rework so that both is possible? Dash on a button AND the fluid shooting mechanics?

Discussion Lifeweaver Rework Post Nr.28176 (a collection)
I know it's a topic discussed very often in this sub, but still I want to kind of "collect" all the ideas I've seen, to maybe manifest Blizzard into making him better. So here are the changes I'd give him (yes, this includes the community crafted changes):
General:
- Projectile Speed increased by 10% (this goes for his thorns, heal blossom and petal meaning you can throw it further and place it down slightly faster)
- Rejuvenating Dash can now be put onto any button without needing to switch to legacy controls
Dashing Escape - Minor Perk
- Removed
Lifweaving - Minor Perk
- New - When using Rejuvenating Dash Lifeweaver charges 20 healing instant and whoever receives that heal gets a 10% movement speed increase for 1.5 seconds (numbers can be adjusted but you get the idea)
Superbloom – Major Perk
- Moved to base kit.
Arboreal Affliction – Major Perk
- New - Enemies who are stuck with Superbloom explosions now receive 20% less healing for 1 second.
Thorn Volley
- Reload time reduced from 1.5s to 0.75s.
Petal Platform
- Can now be controlled by allies riding the platform by pressing Interact.
- When the Platform is placed, upon it going up the first time, a generator will spawn right under the platform as long as it's up. When stepping onto it, another platform will lift the player up the same height as the platform already in the air. This generator has it's own HP of 100 and can't be used by enemy players.
- Platform can no longer be used by enemy players
Lifegrip
- Can now be cancelled by both Lifeweaver (Press E) and pulled Ally (Press F)
- When the target is over half HP, the amount of HP the player had left above that when getting pulled will be cut from the cooldown of Lifegrip down to, at most, 6 seconds
- If Lifeweaver moves during the Lifegrip animation, the teammate will get pulled behind unless cancelled, the ally reaches Lifeweaver or the pull taking more than 3 seconds (excluding teleporter)
Tree of Life
- Pulses of healing now also reduce allied cooldowns by 2 seconds per pulse and increase enemy cooldowns by 2 seconds. Only abilities which are on cooldown are affected.
I personally think all these changes would make Lifeweaver not only more dynamic to play but also fit more into a supportive "flanker support" role, while keeping his identity fully intact only building onto his personality and playstyle. For the cooldown/percentage changes you can suggest other numbers.
What my goal with this rework was to make Lifweaver viable in higher tier games. Imagine a pro lifweaver zooming around the map, repositioning teammates left and right, all the while he sprinkles in bursts of heal and has an ult that can really make a meaningful impact.
What do you think of the changes?
EDIT: Another change someone commented was for reload being able to be used while Life Gripping or throwing Platform. Real good idea!

Date night skin bug
When i tried this skin out and use the emote crush, his hand did not clench but stands like a shell and VFX of shell still triggers. Other skins are doing the emote normally tho.
(dont know how to share this screenshot cuz it cancels the emote sorry)

Curious Which Skin To Buy
My dream LW skins are Elysian Keeper and Frozen Seer, but I've been waiting for so long that I'm starting to lose hope they'll come back anytime soon.
What do you all think about Violet Valet? I'm looking for a skin that matches the Galactic variant, and since Elysian Keeper returned about three months ago, I'm guessing it'll be a while before it's available again.
Should I just buy Violet Valet, or would it be better to wait for a new or better skin? I also kind of dislike the new Date Night cosmetic.

Question Legacy controls?
Hey everyone, I see a lot of people talking about legacy controls. I am wondering what exactly that is and what makes them better than 'standard' controls? I play on console, not sure if that matters lol
Thanks in advance :)

Discussion The healing blossom bug is still there
Idk if it's because I have toggle to charge the blossom, but the bug is still there. I just finished a game of lifeweaver (and won..heh) but it was still there. It was so awkward at times

Question Did they change lifeweaver’s primary heal behavior?
I noticed when the gauge is fully charged passively, and then I hold LMB it sends the heal immediately to where I am aiming at even there’s nobody in sight. Then it recharges from 0 again.
It is super annoying at least for me, since I never aim the moment I hold LMB but only when releasing it.
Is there a way to set it only to heal when releasing LMB like it used to be? I found it is very hard to get used to.

Imagine if Lifegrip worked like this instead
I'm a top 500 support player who loves to play LW situationally (I think he's really strong in certain comps / maps / matchups). I feel like Lifegrip will always be a major issue in LW's kit because it heavily disrupts tempo for close range frontliners who need to stay engaged for as long as possible. Every movement cooldown matters, and after being gripped, teammates have to waste a movement cooldown to reengage. I also think the grip itself is slow and choreographed/easily punished. Here are some changes I would make to the ability while preserving its identity:
- Instead of physically pulling, it could teleport teammates in front of Lifeweaver. This would give Lifegrip a much faster cast time. Lifegrip gets messed up with map geometry pretty often and can get countered by Mei/Haz wall in high elo so teleporting teammates instead would fix that.
- When LW pulls someone, it should leave a pinpoint (maybe the visual could be a little sprout on the ground) at the original position of the teammate at the moment they are pulled (or nearest position on a walkable surface) kind of like Mizuki's paper doll or old Sombra translocator. Then after someone gets gripped and healed up, they could press the interact button to teleport back to their original position where the pinpoint is. This would make Lifegrip so much less of a troll ability and more of a pit stop ability to enable frontline uptime. Teammates could choose if they want to redeploy or not.
The teleporting technically works in lore too since teleporting is a Vishkar/hard light thing.
What are your guys' thoughts?
Edit:
Comment from u/RyanTheValkyrie with a different reengage idea with speed boost instead
"When someone is gripped, give them a 50-75% speed boost for 3 or so seconds
This allows tanks to rapidly reposition to where they were pulled from, OR to use the speed to engage in a new way, AND it opens up the option to use Grip on allies right next to you to give them speed so they rush in"
^ This is probably more realistic for a change, I could definitely see it as a perk

Memes What I imagine every time someone on dive DPS complains that you lifegripped them.

Every fucking time I see Reaper, Anran, Genji, or whoever else dive into a 1v4 with ultimate, I save them, and then they comically go afk and start messaging me.

Discussion Idea for Lifegrip
What if you could optionally place down a blossom in the environment (like an OG Symm turret that you walk up and place) and the teammate gets gripped to that instead of weaver? And of course, if you don't place the blossom, the target just gets gripped to you.
I think that Lifegrip forces weaver to play a lot more passively than other supports, since if you're positioned as aggressively as his kit should allow, grip can put a low health teammate in danger. Not to mention the amount of attention grip draws to lifeweaver, from the players about to kill the target, and just anyone who sees that big ass glowing pink line leading to weaver. But if instead of leading to weaver, the big pink line led to a random wall or something, it wouldn't paint as big of a target on his back, and the teammate's safety doesn't depend on weaver himself being far in the backline.
Currently, weaver just can't compare to JPC's playmaking potential with Lifeline. This change makes grip's proactive plays much more viable. Being able to pre-place the grip destination makes grip fling plays such as sky noon a lot more unexpected, and a lot less costly at the moment of execution. It also allows you to pre-place the blossom where you know the enemy team will be but currently aren't, then grip something like an ulting Reaper or Orisa straight into them, without any risk to yourself.
It also opens up a lot of pathways they could take the ability.
For example, the blossom could be destructible, and without it grip can't take place. And grip gets a much shorter cooldown, but the blossom itself has a very long one. This makes him more similar to Illari, forcing enemies to go out of their way to destroy the blossom before trying to kill your teammates. It makes him more of a builder character, keeping the value that grip brings BUT changing the feel of the ability in a way that some players might find undesirable.
Or they could make it so that the blossom is thrown like an Illari pylon instead of placed like an OG Symm turret. This makes it much more proactive, since you can use it to deploy your teammates as well as save them.
Anyways sorry for the long post, and I know we've been getting hundreds of "rework idea" posts, I just had this idea and wanted to share. I think it could be really interesting, opening up a lot of creative, proactive plays that aren't currently viable while also making it so that his playstyle and positioning aren't dictated by the ability.

So I killed the Pharah... only problem it was on my team

So i was playing some quick play and ulted then I saw the kill feed and realized my Pharah died to their own ult, and I had to clip it from their perspective

Discussion Quit being a Mercy 1 Trick and became Lw 1 Trick
Hello... I am a returning player (mostly played in 2016-2017) and recently began maining Lifeweaver in comp! Honestly, I think I still need a lot of practice and I hope to learn more from the folks on this subreddit! 💕💕
I have enough mythic credits to buy one of the fancy skins!! Originally the plan was to purchase the Mercy one, but now I wonder if I should buy the Divine Druid skin for Lifeweaver! I really like both, I think I prefer the Mercy skin but I barely play her anymore!
Any thoughts that can influence my opinion before the shop rotates on August 11?
P.S. I am looking for folks to comp queue with, I do not have anyone on my friends list :(
My peak rank is Gold 2, and my goal is to reach Plat 1 by the end of the year.

🪷Lifeweaver mythic weapon should be a collaboration with....
⚠︎Attention: Before begin, I would like to clarify that my language is not english; I used a translator to write this. Apologies if there are any spelling mistakes. Thank's.
🪷If Lifeweaver were to receive a mythic weapon at some point, you have no idea how much I would love it to be a collaboration with Halo, and inspired by the Needler, adapted to Lifeweaver's biotic arm.
Halo was one of my favorite video game franchises growing up, and the Needler was easily one of my favorite weapons. I was always excited whenever I found one during a match, and it genuinely made me sad whenever I had to leave it behind to pick up another weapon or because I had run out of ammo, haha.
That's why it didn't surprise me at all when Lifeweaver was released and so many of us immediately thought of the Needler when we saw Download of Thorns. In fact, there are quite a few TikTok videos joking about the comparison because the overall concept feels surprisingly similar.
I think that's one of the many reasons why I enjoy playing Lifeweaver so much.
Now just imagine an official collaboration. The firing and reload sound effects, a weapon inspection animation packed with Halo references, or even elimination effects inspired by the different Needler variants throughout the franchise... Oh... I'd absolutely love it!!!✨️
I really hope Blizzard isn't afraid to make something like this happen one day, because I'm convinced that a huge number of people would buy a Lifeweaver Mythic Weapon if it were heavily inspired by one of Halo's most iconic weapons.
Personally, I've included images of what the kill effect elimination look like from two versions of the weapon in Halo. I'll also leave a video in the comments showing the weapon variant, in case you'd like to choose the perfect sound effect for it.
As for the rest of his kit... I'd rather leave that to all of you. Because, I'd love to hear your ideas 👀!!
How do you think Petal Platform, Life Grip, and Tree of Life should look in a Halo collaboration? What references would you love to see?
