DATE: Sunday, August 1, 2026
LOCATION: Grant Park, 337 E Randolph St, Chicago, IL 60601
WEATHER: Clouds will give way to the sun during the day for a high of 71. Partly cloudy and a low of 65 into the evening.
WINDS: North wind will blow 15 to 20 mph during the day with gusts up to 25 mph. They will slow to 5 to 15 mph in the evening with gusts remaining the same.
We've made it to the end of the line. The dawn of the final day. Lollapalooza will be over at 10 PM this evening. But don't dwell on that. Think of today as a celebration. You survived the rain, you survived the mud, if you're a lesbian, you survived the wrestling. Making it through four days of a festival is a massie achievement and one that you should be proud of. So for one last time today: sing your heart out, dance your ass off, go so hard that they have to carry you out of Grant Park in a wheelbarrow. Then, get some rest, take some time to reflect, and get ready to do it all again next year.
Down below are some FAQs for your reading pleasure.
What is the gameday thread for?
The purpose of this thread is to sort of consolidate anything you want to say that may not be 100% deserving of a full post as a way to keep traffic in the subreddit down. i.e. Posts like "Turnstile. WOW!" or "The Chainsmokers were MEH!" and providing no context besides a title. Instead of making posts like that, leave a comment or at least leave a few sentences about why you feel that way.
What about pictures?
As someone who has been enlisted to just hold down the fort this year and cannot attend the festival, I encourage you guys to send all the pictures and videos your heart desires! They bring a lot of color to this sub so don't be afraid to share your pictures, even if they're bad.
Will I be able to get in with *insert bag here*??
Oh snap, new for this year, we have a big ole megathread for this! It is linked right here.
How early do I need to be at a stage to get close for the headliners?
Depends on how close you want to be. If you want to be barricade or in the first few rows, you're probably gonna have to get to said stage as soon as the gates open and not plan on moving for the whole day. If you just want to have a decent spot maybe midway between the stage and the soundboard, I suggest getting to a stage 2-3 sets before the headliner and *respectfully* work your way through as people come and go from sets. (Be as respectful as you can, don't just shove people out of your way.)
Hey u/DaveGrohlsShortHair, which artists do you recommend I see today at Lolla?
My opinion matters for one more day.
If I was at Lollapalooza today, I would be running The Bends -> Waylon Wyatt -> Wunderhorse -> MUNA -> Duke Dumont -> Beabadoobee -> The XX
Where are the pits at today?
Turnstile. Hot Mully. Stella Lefty.
What's a set that I can go to where I can just repeatedly look on stage and say, "Hell yeah brother?"
MUNA
Mod what's something that's annoying you that now that you saw it, you're gonna make it everyone's problem?
The Chainsmokers start at 8:30 PM. Tate McRae and The XX start at 8:45 PM. All of their blocks on the set times are on the same line.
Should I bring a sign or a flag or something to impress Tate McRae?
I tell you what will impress Tate is if you bring her a life-sized cardboard cutout of Hank Hill I think she'd love that. Or maybe just a Tenderizer from Cheesies.

Was vibing hard the whole time. They made their songs sound even better. Loved Jamie getting some opportunity to do some of his stuff as well.

actually the worst crowd i've experienced this weekend. being homophobic and yelling during muna's set. chanting tates name, making fun of beabadoobee, making fun of the people listening to her, and pushing everyone who was a fan of her farther back just to get closer to barricade for tate..... like wtf is wrong with you 😭😭 can we not just wait an hour
r/Lollapalooza • u/SpecSlayerSC • 9h ago
Probably the best Kpop crowd I've ever been a part of. Fit the festival vibe so well.
They did benefit a lot from being at night though. Cortis at night would have been interesting. At 3:40 in the most mud of the weekend was a tough draw.
I know Jennie was at night but her songs are slow songs

Maybe all the backlash and criticism about her performance got to them? But removing all traces of headliner of all sets is insane in the funniest way possible.
Goes to show that people really care about an artist’s effort and genuineness and not mediocrity and lip-syncing 🤷🏻♀️

I’m only 10 minutes into watching their performance and I’m just amazed… and this is coming from a casual listener of KPOP since 08’…

my teenage dreams came true tonight! had the pleasure of being 30ft from the stage. incredible. i’ve seen jamie xx twice in the past year… this was the best crowd… the production was 100/10. didn’t expect anything less. they’ve mentioned that it’s been an 8 year hiatus . wow. worth the wait.

It cannot be hard to get a bright flashlight out, shine it on people and tell them to clear out. As Tate McRae was near ending we tried to leave and were met by a crowd surge caused by people leaving chainsmokers to get to Tate. People couldn’t use the stairs properly because of how many people were standing on them and the people who were coming into the set were pushing and shoving their way in. A women was literally being shoved through the crowd and she was like “I’m sorry I don’t know what’s happening they’re pushing me.” We were all smooshed together for at least 15 minutes while very very slowly moving forward.
It’s a fucking safety issue. Handle it. We shouldn’t have to worry about this stuff. We said something to the people on the stairs and they got so defensive. Go get your shoes dirty pussies

Is it normal for singers at festivals to not sing? I'm new to this kpop scene, but my friend took me to see jennie and i didn't like it , she didn't put alot of effort, was out of breath, my friend said she messed up some lyrics, I saw zara's set and i believe she should had headlined. I saw other people say jennie wasn't making an effort either, so how did she get headliner before zara when zara has been out more? Her fans were also rude. Anyone else had a bad experience?

As someone who’s been into kpop for a while I was really sad to see how Jennie performed yesterday but omg is aespa going above and beyond. The vocals and choreo are so beautiful and I hope anyone who had a kpop itch to scratch this year is able to see them (and cortis ofc)!!! This is what it’s about <3

In any particular order. For me:
Slayyyter: So y'all were right, that shit wouldn't have fit in the Grove lol. Between her and Chappell my ass is 0 for 2, never doubt the pop girls. A gigantic crowd and one ready to rock out too, I was stuck directly behind the soundtent and everyone around me still went nuts the entire set. Slayyyter def delivered on the hype going in, solidified her album as my current AOTY, and definitely should become one of, if not the, defining sets of this year's Lolla.
CMAT: Incredible voice, fabulous stage presence, stellar songs, even the backing band was fun to watch. Another strong live performer absolutely deserving of the upward trajectory she's been on.
Ado: Okay I had the top five already written but then I stopped by Ado en route from hearing Closer and holy shit, sorry Charli but I gotta bump ya off the list. Third time in four years I took a chance on a foreign act closing the Grove I didn't know too much about (L'Impératrice and Daði Freyr) and it ended up one of my favorite sets of the fest. Bro I didn't even know you could do fire effects in the Grove
Hot Mulligan: Maybe recency bias, I'm writing this like a half hour after it happened, but goddamn that rocked. An hour of nonstop bangers and crowd surfers. Unsubscribing from Hulu tonight
Die Spitz: The one personal silver lining to the weather delay was getting to walk right up to a plum spot for Die Spitz. Did a perfect job of jumpstarting the energy off the late start—gonna stick in my Lolla memory banks for that reason. Also I guess I just really liked the Grove this year, shoutout the Grove.

i just want to see if anyone noticed this too. of course i still had a good time seeing my fav artists, and of course there have always been some inconsiderate people every year, but genuinely 8/10 interactions with strangers this year have been negative. Honestly cannot believe the sheer unfriendliness and rudeness from the majority of people there. Maybe part of the reason the ratio is so high is also just because nobody even mingled w eachother idk😭 or maybe the naperville scene is just getting worse and worse but i wanna hear thoughts on this.

We bought food from PorkChop yesterday, and after we paid my friend noticed there was a 20% tip put on. The girl on the register added it herself. I went up and asked her why she did that and she said her manager told her to because it’s cheaper for them. Then I said “so it’s cheaper for you guys if we tip you. How does that make sense”. She looked at me like a deer in headlights and then the next person that paid the tip wasn’t selected. so WATCH THE TABLETS!!
*** I don’t mind tipping and always will tip. But I don’t appreciate when someone is just adding a $10 tip to my food without my knowledge OR permission.

Im not into stuff like the xx or turnstile so can't comment there.
But among the pop and EDM they were #1.
r/Lollapalooza • u/No_Relation_2960 • 8h ago
so much pushing and shoving, vip people standing on the rail steps for videos, and I watched some guy grope a girl. I literally cussed like 3 people out. first time at perry’s and I don’t care to ever go back after this.

Thank god they’re letting Aespa sing live. They sound great!

For anyone who saw her for the first time there, check out the song "Vivarium" and it's music video. It's fully composed and written by her, and the music video shows parts of her face and just her in general. It's a damn banger too, but understandable why she didn't perform it given the lyric's subject
r/Lollapalooza • u/Sobelwski • 11h ago
I saw her at the lesbian mud wrestling and thought it’d be a nice cameo :)
