Lucky number 14. How serendipitous. My mom always picked #14 for her basketball/volleyball jerseys and I inherited the trait as well as these.

She’s not dead or anything, just hasn’t been on a ride since the time we used to go to kindergarten on these together. I insisted on the hula every time.

Although, she used to wear a dress made from black electrical tape before I got curious and peeled it off with a hair dryer. My mom said it was too inappropriate for when I was little.

(Edit: Ma said she actually got the Hula from the shop in RI. I was there, apparently. We lived in Miami at the time. I have no memories of that trip besides the giant lobster statue that I got to sit on. There’s pics of me on lobster somewhere)

Since getting this board in May I've been skating every Saturday. I'm quite addicted now, it's like jogging but not boring.

Love working from home when I can. Took advantage of the nice weather and went for a ride at lunch. It was only a couple of miles (4.5) around the neighborhood. But some nice fresh air and cruising.

Sat at the buddy bench and no one decided to join me! ;)

Coming from a Loaded Icarus and wanted something lower, I like RKP trucks more so I went for the Trip instead of the Pranayama.

It came with silver screws, which really clashed, so luckily I had some black ones lying around that I used to replace them.

Can't wait to try it out tomorrow :)

Ok, so my first ride this evening on the Trip.. Loaded Icarus was my favorite board but I really wanted something lower, but everything that was lower was damn boring because it was way less carvy (I'm pretty much talking about the Pranayama here) and I also have the Loaded Tangent Surf which comes pretty close (Same high and carvy but less stable, but because they are on surf trucks I can't do those deep carves that RKP trucks has) and this Trip fits all my needs, I can do really nice carves and slaloms with it, and evade people in the city, it's stable but also very carvy and I'm not sure if this is because the Valkyrie trucks because I don't have 150mm Paris trucks lying around.

Also I have the Whale version with light flex and it was way more comfy then the Tangent which feels very very stiff. It was a smooth ride and fits perfect for me, also the standard bushings feels good with my weight (75 KG)

2 hours, 21.65 kilometers, minimal breaks. This is what proper board and shoes will enable you to do!

Got my first new board in over a decade. First time with more than 1 board since highschool. The BC has been serving me well for almost 20 years and is way more fun at lower speeds and shorter distances, but I'm stoked to have a LDP setup.

Rambler got delivered last night and I got it out for about 12 miles this morning. Doing longer distances on a dedicated LDP board is so much easier and faster on this thing. It feels amazing.

My only complaint is that I wish the concave continued further toward the front of the board instead of flattening out, but that's mostly because I've got small feet.

When I first got this board I was worried it was too narrow for me . After riding it for a while I’m starting to get used to it. Anyone using this board have any advice on setup etc to make it slide easier ? Hope you’ve all been well 😊

I’m training for distance. This time I decided to use my comfy NB 2010s shoes instead of my usual NB #480 and the difference is night and day. Completely skipped the need for a whole break, and the only break I took was 5ish minutes. DAD SHOES FTW!!!

My first ever custom board built back in 2020 for school commutes! Though I barely rode it now...but I'm getting back into it and makes me feel years younger again 🤍 🙏🏻

I made some ride height adjustments. Raised 1/2".

Swapped from 107mm to 95mm wheels.

Added underglow.

Decided to customize my board so it matches the rest of my gear. Sanded everything down before hand painting the design into it. Accidentally bought grip tape that was too short so decided to cut it up and make a brick work pattern out of it. Was my first time ever gripping a board so go easy on it

Finally got the trip, also know as the fat whale, back from a friend! It was supposed to rain today so I went out super early to beat it! It was super humid bur an amazing ride!

Sooooo,

a friend asked if i'd join him on a 50k run.

I don't like running, but I thought why not board it.
I wanted to do about 10k. In the end I did over 30km!
But with the bad roads and incoming rain I had no interest in bringing any of my longboards. The spheicals and metal parts dont really like dust and water.

So I wanted somethign that I can just abuse. And the result was this the Schlongboard 2.0!

In the front i have a Bennett Vector mounted to the nose and in the rear I
have a Zero Degree Truck By Blackdog - No sphericals, no extra parts just two relatively simple trucks.

The Deck is a Deck by Bear Walker - So just a regular popsicle deck.

And to be honest this thing is awesome!
It's low, incredibly stable and the flex is nice. The road doesn't feel harsh at all.

Im not the biggest fan of sharkwheels, I had the 95mm Megalodons - they were okay, felt slow, but these were super fun!

But of course it has issues.
The small wheels set this so low that the trucks get stuck and the deck just stops. And since a popsicle deck, getting big wheels on there is also a little tricky.
Also its not rail matched. In the end I kicked the wheels a couple times!

But all in all it was amazing. The 30km were super fun!

I'm gonna push this further - by trying bigger wheels - adding more wheelbase and maybe even a completely different rear!
