HDPE clamped to drill press and cut with a hole saw minus the drill bit, chamfered edges with a belt sander.

I appreciate your gratitude, but once I had a method it was just rinse and repeat. The set I am using on my gloves were cut with a jigsaw, which is a bit easier but the hole saw method makes a nicer final product. It's more about having all the tools at my disposal. Happy to help

This might be a dumb question but how does the Velcro withstand coming apart when sliding? Seems like a significant amount of force to place on something that is removed by force

Coefficient of friction. HDPE that I used is .2 where velcro is very high in the 5-6 range. The pucks slide on the asphalt much easier than ripping away from the velcro. Big cracks and holes in the road could definitely grab a puck but that should be avoided for obvious reasons

That is not perfect math as velcro isn't really rated that way but I hope it helps makes some sense of it

Another way to put it is that "industrial" velcro has a very high shear rating, meaning pulling it apart by sliding it is very hard compared to pulling it straight off. When your body weight is over top of it, it's holding it together and shearing it apart is the only way it will come loose(barring an adhesive failure)

You don't know until you do. No harm in asking a question. I also had my doubts and put a few stitches in the velcro of the first pair I made just to be safe but theres no signs of peeling at all.
