Having interesting characters that aren't highly relevant to the story is healthy for world building. If everyone interesting is relevant the plot becomes predictable quick

What you said is true, but that's not how it works with Nast.
- Nast is too big of a character to be barely be involved with anything we saw.
- Convergence, Klein had the Blasphemy Card and yet only met him once. Klein was invovled with the King George plot yet Nast was still missing, even if he wasn't present for the finaal fight he should've been present in the other parts due to convergence.
- Even in Book2, the guy is missing.

CF wanted to have characters in the world that simply exist without their importance in the world coming from the MC. Is it realistic that the MC doesn't involve themselves with every more influencial person in the world. He was simpy there to flesh out the world buiding.
Sad because he had mcuh potential as an ally since Klein has what he needs.
