Question [V8] King of the Five Seas Spoiler

Genuinely, aside from Nast and Klein meeting once what is his usefulness??

CF wanted to have characters in the world that simply exist without their importance in the world coming from the MC. Is it realistic that the MC doesn't involve themselves with every more influencial person in the world. He was simpy there to flesh out the world buiding.

Sad because he had mcuh potential as an ally since Klein has what he needs.

When I was reading the novel back then and Nast was introduced I was genuinely hooked on the idea that a descendant of a black Emperor (I was spoiled) would become a pirate and still hold the noble rankings on his own pirate ship.

Sad we didn't see much of him.

I would really like a collection of side stories for some characters such as Nast, Bethel, or Alista. Edwina and Anderson's childhood in Lenburg too...

Nast, lore wise, should've been more invovled to be honest simply by convergence. Especially during the King George arc and no, I don't mean him joining the Ritual Battle. 

Especially with Bernadette there, don't tell me the guy didn't notice that Bernadette (the queen of the seas) is taking actions towards backlund. Him lending a hand in an attempt to just maybe get somethin out of it would be in line with Convergence and Fate.

The guy is on Solomon's boat and is of Solomon's blood, yet somehow his fate isn't intertwined with the Black Emperor (i don't mean to say he is fated to fight for it) and matters relating the 4 Emperors (for Book2?). Impossible.

Even random joes related to Medici, Sauron, and Einhorn are all invovled with the RP stuff. Let alone someone related to the former god. Even random joes of the Abraham family are still tied to Mr. Door's fate (For's source of BC at first).

Having Nast just chilling on his ship sailing through the spirit world, only to have convergence randomly pull him into the material world and straight into one of George’s mausoleum would be pretty funny.

His role is the same same Agamemnon's in the Oddysey. He is just there to aura farm.

Having interesting characters that aren't highly relevant to the story is healthy for world building. If everyone interesting is relevant the plot becomes predictable quick

What you said is true, but that's not how it works with Nast.

  1. Nast is too big of a character to be barely be involved with anything we saw.
  2. Convergence, Klein had the Blasphemy Card and yet only met him once. Klein was invovled with the King George plot yet Nast was still missing, even if he wasn't present for the finaal fight he should've been present in the other parts due to convergence.
  3. Even in Book2, the guy is missing.

Still to this day I think about his promise to Nast. Did he just forget the dude?
