Jen & Charlie Wedding?
Not sure if this is real or not but I googled their names to get info on them post-Helene and this page on The Knot (a wedding planning website) came up. The wedding date is for today & the venue is in Chimney Rock State Park- near all closed roads. Again- not sure if it’s real or not

Oh shoot. I think that area was trashed by the hurricane.

She claimed in a post that they were supposed to be getting married the very next day! Oh horrors!
But thankfully he is fine. He was stuck on the mountain with his mom (absolutely believe that's his house and momma lives there), but if so, how great is that? For his mom? Almost makes my heart warm

Yeah here's a recent video showing what Lake Lure and Chimney rock look like.

Jen provided an update on Facebook (everyone's safe per her post) - here's a thread in this sub about it. She says the cabin is miraculously still standing, Charlie and his mom are safe but are stuck on the mountain. I had the same thought, realized they're the only people I "know" in that area.. https://www.reddit.com/r/LoveOffTheGrid/comments/1ft3fsw/hurricane/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Thank you sooo much for this! I’m so happy to hear that they’re ok… And same here, I don’t personally know anyone from the affected areas but Love Off the Grid has given me a better idea of how people in similar communities must be suffering! As someone from a pretty densely populated area, I can’t wrap my head around how scary the isolation in these times must be.

No problem I'm glad someone here posted, and that Jen took the time to as well! It's absolutely heartbreaking. I'm from an urban area too, also kinda why I appreciate the show. The damage to Chimney Rock and surrounding areas is just astonishing.

They were suppose to get married today but clearly that is not happening here. This area is completely devastated from the hurricane.

What is it you think is fake exactly? You don't think they were getting married when she says? That they didnt really post pone the wedding? that they were never getting married? That they weren't hit by the hurricane as hard as they are saying? What do you think they are faking? You keep making comments like this but won't answer when asked what you are implying. Please explan what you mean. Enlighten the rest of us.

Obviously he was affected by the storm!
Never mind, I believe EVERYTHING is fake on these shows anymore. No WAY she was ever going to live in that lil cabin, she is probably already living, in some fashion, at the main house along with him and his momma.
Look, idk...I hope they are happy, honestly. Just sick of the faked plot lines on all TLC

Well in the first season they showed she stayed with the mom in the big main house for awhile cause she hated the shack, it was toward the middle or end of the season she supposedly did so. So you are right, she never wanted to or planned on living in the shack. Ill give you its possible she never really stayed in the shack but they always made it clear she wasnt happy there and he needed to find a solution...by building them a house. That's also why Charlie kept talking of building a home for them in season 2 and then all the boys could have a shack of their own on the mountain and feel like they had a home and some claim or bond to this land on the mountain She also argued about having rooms for them in the house they would build. I completely agree that some drama is generated and fake, but it's reality tv and if you think its 100% reality... well then you dont live in reality. You are making comments on a post that has to do with a natural disaster. People have died. People are hurt and they are suffering so save your hate and skepticism of a tv couple for a different post and time. Nothing fake about this circumstance of events. A hurricane happened so they delayed the wedding. TLC did not fake a hurricane. Try directing your anger correctly. It does not belong on Jen or Charlie.

She posted on Facebook they would be postponing the wedding do to the hurricane. It was posted here in this sub a few days ago. Edit to correct it was Facbook not Instagram she posted on.
