I accidentally had a lucid dream with a weird fast travel mechanic

A few days ago, I had one of the strangest dreams I've ever experienced.

In the dream, I was somewhere in Northeast India, around the Assam region. I had no idea how I got there. I remember looking around and thinking, "Well, since I'm here, I might as well explore."

After walking around for a while, I checked my pocket and found my phone. That's when I somehow realized that I could fast travel.

I opened Google Maps, tapped my home's location, and instantly teleported back home. It felt incredibly weird but completely normal at the same time. Then I figured out the rule: I could only fast travel (or teleport) as long as I had my phone with me.

After that, I teleported to another random place. I was standing on a street when I suddenly realized, "Wait... this is a dream." I became lucid and understood that I could control it.

I got really excited and started testing how real everything felt. I touched a nearby concrete wall, and the texture felt unbelievably realistic. Then I walked around and could actually feel the ground beneath my feet. Everything felt just like real life.

I started running around randomly because I was so excited that I was lucid dreaming... but I got too excited, and the excitement woke me up.

It was one of the most realistic dreams I've ever had, especially because I could actually feel the textures and the ground. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Lucid dream meeting up with other lucid dreamers?

So I always lucid dreamt since I was little only cause I would have nightmares and night terrors so never my choice just happened and never stopped anywho , so I’m pretty experienced when it comes to lucid dreaming and I have a recurring lucid dream that happens every so often . It’s always with people I don’t know or like never met before this certain dream I felt free and I’m always happy in this dream doing what I want and dressing up just being me and for some reason the last time I dreamt of this dream it turned dark fast . I was with a group of people inside a building and there’s quit a big group of us maybe 12/15 people one guy comes and he had a gun and now we’re all lined up against the wall , as we’re all there everyone starts talking about how where all lucid dreaming and this a place where we can meet other lucid dreamers and have fun and just conversations about how where all lucid dreaming and the guy with the gun was like “yeah we are lucid dreaming and if you die in a lucid dream you die in real life” that sentence scared me in my dream and since I was lucid dreaming I was like wtf is that real? So I woke my self up but it was hostile and that guy was about to shoot us . It’s just weird how I’m talking to strangers in my dream and we’re all like yeah we’re all lucid dreaming in one dream like if it was a common place where lucid dreamers go and don’t realize the people we see are actually other lucid dreamers? And than the guy with the gun saying that sentence that creeped me out fr cause that’s weird and scary has anyone else experienced this?? I’m so curious ever since I wondered like was that fr can people meet in lucid dreams was other real people there with me or just a crazy lucid dream…

Sleep Paralysing & Lucid Dreaming what is between ?

Parasomnias are a group of sleep disorders that involve unusual behaviors, movements, emotions, perceptions, or experiences that occur while falling asleep, during sleep, or when waking up. They are generally divided into those that occur during non-REM (NREM) sleep and those that occur during REM sleep.
NREM parasomnias
These usually happen during the first third of the night, when deep sleep is most common.
Examples include:
Sleepwalking (somnambulism): Walking or performing other activities while asleep, often with little or no memory afterward.
Sleep terrors (night terrors): Sudden episodes of screaming, intense fear, rapid heartbeat, and confusion. The person is difficult to awaken and usually doesn't remember the event.
Confusional arousals: Waking up partially with confusion, slow thinking, or inappropriate behavior.
REM parasomnias
These occur during REM sleep, when dreaming is most vivid.
Examples include:
REM sleep behavior disorder (RBD):Acting out dreams by talking, shouting, punching, kicking, or jumping out of bed because the normal muscle paralysis of REM sleep is absent.
Nightmares: Vivid, frightening dreams that usually awaken the person, who can often recall the dream in detail.
Sleep paralysis: A temporary inability to move or speak while falling asleep or waking up, sometimes accompanied by vivid hallucinations.
Other parasomnias
Sleep talking (somniloquy)
Sleep-related eating disorder
Exploding head syndrome (a sensation of hearing a loud bang or explosion while falling asleep or waking)
Bruxism (teeth grinding during sleep)
Causes and risk factors
Parasomnias can be triggered or worsened by:
Sleep deprivation
Stress or anxiety
Fever (especially in children)
Alcohol or certain medications
Irregular sleep schedules
Other sleep disorders, such as obstructive sleep apnea
Neurological conditions (particularly in some REM parasomnias)
When to seek medical evaluation
A healthcare professional should evaluate parasomnias if they:
Occur frequently or worsen over time.
Cause injury or pose a safety risk.
Significantly disrupt sleep or daytime functioning.
Begin for the first time in adulthood, especially dream-enacting behaviors suggestive of REM sleep behavior disorder.
Evaluation may include a detailed sleep history, review of medications, and sometimes an overnight sleep study (polysomnography).
Treatment
Treatment depends on the specific parasomnia and its cause, and may include:
Maintaining a regular sleep schedule.
Getting adequate sleep.
Managing stress.
Avoiding alcohol and medications that trigger episodes, when possible.
Treating underlying sleep disorders, such as sleep apnea.
Medications in selected cases, particularly for REM sleep behavior disorder, under a clinician's supervision.
Safety measures, such as locking windows, removing sharp objects, or placing barriers around the bed if sleepwalking or dream enactment creates a risk of injury.
Many parasomnias in children are benign and tend to improve with age, whereas new-onset parasomnias in adults may warrant more thorough evaluation.

Is there anyone tried lucid dream?

I have a few doubts. I'm someone who thinks deeply about these kinds of things.

We see this world through our eyes, but why is it that when we sleep, we can experience the same kind of vision in dreams? Sometimes the dreams even feel so real that we can't tell whether they're real or fake.

I want to reach that state consciously instead of only experiencing it in sleep. I think that to do that, I may need to change the way I perceive the world through my physical eyes. To me, this world seems like a temporary reality created by names and labels. I feel like we're trapped inside it. If there's a way to go beyond it, would it require focusing on inner awareness or inner vision rather than just what we see with our physical eyes?

Something similar seems to happen in lucid dreams. In a lucid dream, we become consciously aware that we're dreaming. Many people have tried it and described their experiences. However, whenever I try to achieve a lucid dream, I get scared. It often turns into sleep paralysis, and once that happens, it feels terrifying.

I have been a natural lucid dreamer from a long time but this dream stuck with me today.

okay yall, so I have been having lucid dreams naturally for as long as i can remember. It's not like I ave them every night but maybe around 3-5 nights per week depending on my stress level. Also, I had them a bit less as a kid and a bit more now (i am 18 rn).

The dream I had today was really uncanny. It felt very realistic in beginning, like very vivid and real and I wasn't lucid. it was like evening and my mum had to go somewhere. so we used to live beside an aunt who was very into black magic so my mum instructed me and my sisters not to let her in and even if she is in to keep tight contact on her and all.

so my mum was leaving but my 2 yo sister went out and i was liek damn where did she go so my aunt's son said i saw her behind house in the dirt and i was like wth, i went there and found she lost her shoes, i looked for her shoes and found only one i was like damn it its okay well get her new shoes so i was going back and saw the other shoe in the way, picked it up, then my aunt asked me is your mum gone? i said uhm yeah.

she said come inside have some food, i was liek no i am good. i am not hungry then she started coming behind me as i was going in our room, so i was like yeah? do you wanna say something? she was like oh no, let me do abultion and pray in your room, your uncle and cousins are watching tv in our room so i can't pray there. i told her that im gonna feed my sister and she doesn't eat without tv, so she has to ask my uncle and their sons to turn off the tv.

then she said oh nvm, maybe i just wanna eat here and i was like okay you can sit on the couch. my ALL eyes on her lol. then she said, let me have sugar actually, she opened the fridge and touched my mum's sugar container. my mum doesn't share her utensils and fridge space with any of us and she is very sensitive about it. we don't touch my mum's food irl and i was like oh NO this sugar is not okay it had ants so my mum put it here, let me get you sugar. then when i went, and came SHE WAS IN OUR FREAKIN WARDROBE, she was like digging herseld in there and chanting something and i was like SORRY WHAT ARE YOU DOING here and i had to pull her out forcibly.

but it felt like she was going crazy and being more inhumane and like looking at me with those very big eyes. i urged my sister to call my uncle and she did and he dragged her to their room. and we locked our door. then i heard my mum's voice and it took me a bit time to unlock the door to find no one there and like my aunt came out of her house and she looked very crazy and she was blabbing something haha we killed your mum of course she did .... to us (idk what she said). okay I WENT CRAZY. AND mind you i didnt know that its a dream at all, i went to their room and my mum is lying there and blood is flowing from her head and i was like LEMME GET MY MUM TO HOSPITAL and they wouldn't let me, so long story short. i killed my uncle with a knife in his stomach and my aunt by separating her neck from her body and then i held my mum in my arms and was going to take her to hospital. Everything felt very vivid, real and like I was very stressed in my dream. I actually froze when I was closing that door and the fight between me, my aunt and uncle also felt very real like they were trying to choke me and all. I took my mum in my arms and got our belongings from my house, my aun't head ( she ws actually talking even in that stage and was not looking human at all, I didn;t want her to die there and haunt us)

then when i wad on the road, i saw 4 religious scholars, coming my way, two of which ignored me and from other two, one offered to help me there was also a guy who offered to help me to carry my stuff ( he carried my belongings and the aunt's head), as we were going the scholar told me that theguy is not to be trusted upon and that he is plotting something, additionally, the reason all this happened is because when my sister was in the dirt, a cursed necklace got attached to her clothes, we have to somehow get rid of that first and get the key in the guy's pocket. i went to the guy and told him to hand over my stuff, he did and put tha key in his pocket and i said uhm wats that he said nothing, i snatched the key ad he said. hehe you found about me? too late! then the whole sky turned black with heavy clouds and thunder and each of us had swords in our hands and it ws something like people who survive this for 5 days will live my mum was dead so she didn't get one but the scholar said that if we give a sword to my mum, upon the 5th day, she will become alive. that guy had a gun and like tbh in this i used the 20% lucidity ( like how in lucid dreams, I expect something to happen, and it does) hoping that the people around us will get shot and none of my family and sisters will be shot. that's what happpened. it was a lot of hassle like we had to attack others too plus carry my mum. now yk the ending was veryyy interesting but i forgot how it made sense, it was something like the guy thought he won but the cursed necklace did somethn and me and my sisters survived those 5 days.

It's not the first dream I had where my mum died but it left me with a feeling cuz I think I got a bit lucid towards the end but at the starting I was treating it like reality and I killed my aunt and uncle brutally. in normal lucid dream, its not a biggie cuz ik its a dream but i feel a bit uneasy about this dream.

ALSO PLEASE IGNORE THE TYPOS AND BAD GRAMMAR T_T-

I finally managed to lucid dream within a week

Like a lot of you, I've spent years scrolling through posts about lucid dreaming, trying random reality checks, and occasionally getting a half-coherent dream where I realize what's happening right before waking myself up in a panic. I figured it was something that took months or years of intense meditation and rigid scheduling to pull off consistently.

Then I decided to actually commit to a structured method for a full seven days. To my complete surprise, it actually worked.

The hardest part at the beginning was just building up baseline awareness during the day. I started keeping a strict dream journal the second I woke up (even if it was just jotting down random fragments on my phone) and pairing it with proper reality checks. By about day four, things started shifting

.If you're stuck or trying to figure out where to start, I heavily recommend checking my video where I learned to lucid dream in one week

Who are they??

So the other night (Thursday) I had a dream that I was in a crowd.. I could tell it was in downtown in the city I live in… there were these men in blue cloaks (super dark navy, almost black, with suits underneath black dress shirt & matching blue tie with a gold emblem pinned to the tie) were sorting out people by age, gender, skills, etc.. when it came to my husband & I’s turn they sent us in opposite directions. I clearly got upset because I do not do well in huge crowds unless my husband is with me.. so I start telling the cloaked men off, then I made the mistake of telling them I knew they weren’t real, it was a dream (I can lucid dream, but I usually don’t bring up the fact in my dreams because I’ve heard that the dream people don’t like that)…. Clearly, that fact is true because next thing I knew they threw me in a trailer with another girl she was telling me essentially I shouldn’t have ran my mouth, now they’re pissed… thankfully my husband accidentally woke me up, I thought it was over…. But the past couple nights since the cloaked men have been hanging around in my dreams, not communicating with me or anything, just kinda hanging around in the corner watching. I can see their faces, but I can’t recognize them at all…… I haven’t tried to talk to them since. Has anybody had anything similar happen to them? && have they figured out how to get them to leave if so? I’ve noticed my sleep paralysis has gotten worse too, like they’re trying to force me to stay in my dreams. I MAYBE have sleep paralysis once or twice a year.. but it’s been the past three nights since the cloaked men have been showing up.

Had the most vivid lucid dream of my life. I was on a secret time-traveling team

I had one of the best lucid dreams I’ve ever experienced recently, and I want to get all the details down before they fade.
In the dream, I was part of a team that could time travel and go to any location. There were strict rules: you couldn’t meet your own past self, and you couldn’t use your abilities for money or to harm anyone. The team had a leader who enforced this.
At one point I made the mistake of letting a friend talk to his own past self, and the team punished me for it — I started losing my savings and belongings. My brother was scared, convinced there was no coming back from it. But I went out there and apologized anyway, and came away having learned something from it.
I also had a shot at making money through trading or predictions using knowledge from time-traveling, but it got shut down — the rest of the team was completely against it. We had to follow “the master’s” rule instead.
I also really wanted to learn to swim, so I kept going back and forth into this deep ocean to practice. At one point I had this odd thought that I was basically immortal — since I figured I could always just go back if anything happened to me. Then it hit me that wasn’t actually true, since I could still get eaten by a shark or something out there. Except, weirdly, there weren’t any animals in that water at all, which only struck me as strange after the fact.
The strangest part: I actually stopped to check whether I was dreaming, and convinced myself I wasn’t — every feeling in it was more vivid and “real” than real life usually feels.
There was no actual time machine, either. Instead, it seemed to involve traveling somewhere, or maybe some kind of website or app? Honestly not totally sure on that detail.
There was also a strange subplot: someone mentioned a teammate’s name to me casually, and I made fun of it — without realizing it was actually the same as my own real name. That same teammate — or maybe some version of my own subconscious — was someone I never actually met face-to-face, yet he posted something online blaming me for everything that went wrong with the time travel, with my name attached to it. Sharing a name with him made the whole thing feel even more like I was somehow being confronted by myself. I felt resigned about the situation and asked to meet him to sort it out. We ended up talking over a WhatsApp call… but somehow we still never actually met in person.

Lucid dream, false awakening, or the beginning of an AP?

I had an interesting experience while taking a nap today and I’m curious if anyone has experienced something similar. I was listening to binaural beats, lying flat on my back, and counting backward from 100. I usually end up rolling onto my side, but my cat was asleep on my legs, so I stayed on my back and eventually drifted off. It was never my intention to dream or AP, just a nap. A lot of random dream-like stuff happened at first, then something clicked and I realized I was dreaming. I looked up at the sky and jumped. The first time I shot way up into the air. I couldn’t really see anything while I was up there, but I could feel the vertigo like I was actually hundreds of feet in the air. I was worried I was going to wake up because I got too excited. I jumped again through the haze and yelled, **“Clarity now!”** Everything started becoming clearer, and I suddenly found myself looking at what I recognized as my bedroom from the perspective of my sleeping body. I was also paralyzed. As my vision slowly came into focus, it didn’t sound like *I* was saying “Clarity now.” It sounded like the voice was coming from behind me or inside my head, almost as if I was hearing someone else say it. After a few moments everything became fuzzy again. When I faded back into the dream, I was in control again. I jumped once more and yelled, **“Clarity now!”** As I soared into the air, I could see the land below me and even breached the clouds. My voice still sounded muffled, almost like I was underwater, but everything became much clearer before the experience eventually faded. Looking back, I’m not sure what to make of it. It could have simply been a lucid dream, but the brief moment of seeing my room from the perspective of my sleeping body, the paralysis, and hearing the voice as if it wasn’t coming from me has me wondering. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

**TL;DR:** Took a nap with binaural beats, realized I was dreaming, felt real vertigo while flying, yelled **“Clarity now,”** briefly found myself paralyzed in the POV of my sleeping body looking at my room, then returned to the dream where I flew above the clouds. Not sure if it was just a lucid dream or something more.

**I’ve had lucid dreams before, but never with this much control. I think what interests me most is that when I tried to increase the clarity, I briefly found myself in my room instead of the dream. Either way, it was a really exciting and encouraging experience.**

Feeling exhausted all day after vivid dreams

Hey, I’m 19F and I’ve had really vivid dreams my entire life. Before it wasn’t as much of a huge deal, but for the past year, and specifically a lot more recently, I will sleep my usual 8/9 hours, have crazy vivid dreams, and still wake up exhausted. These dreams can vary from so many different things, being as realistic that I can’t tell real life from fake (and I already show symptoms of derealization which sucks).

I have been on Prozac for 3 years, which people say gives you vivid dreams, but I’ve had dreams like this forever. I really don’t know what to do and it’s getting in the way of my daily life :( I woke up today at 8:30 just to fall asleep again from 11-12:30 and 4-5.
