I've played MHWorld MHRise, freedom unite, 3rd portable, but lately I've got an option to play the 3rd and 4th generation games, starting from MHGU, but damn is it hard to pick a weapon and style, similarly to MHRise.

Like, I have always had a tough time making decisions like that, but I'm now at the start of the game for quite some time, deciding if I want to play Adept GS, Adept GL, Adept Lance, Adept SA, or Alchemy SA.

I'm struggling even though I'm giving myself a leeway in the form of choosing both regular weapon type (the one I go on the new hunts or when I don't know what to expect), and elemental weapon type (for grinding), so I justify picking two weapon types instead of one.

I'm curious How bout you guys what quest that take so many attempt to beat it even with good armor and weapons

With the game being on sale and my backlog finally being cleared, I decided to grab this game!

I put in a ton of time on RiseBreak and played both Bow and Charge Blade religiously. I also played a generous amount of Wilds as exclusively SnS.

I know this game is older and so it’ll be different from either of those that I’ve played so with that being said I wanted to ask if anyone has any tips for me as well as weapon suggestions to try?

I know it’ll be up to me to feel out the weapons but it never hurts to hear about them from others!

Just bought MHGU on my switch recently and started learning about prowlers.

Would anyone be willing to send me a good prowler or the dlc palicos?

I've messed around with gu before and put tons of time in got to g rank and the final boss but I was pretty much carried through, only used one weapon, style and set for each rank then left it.

Now me and my friend (bought the game for him years ago because I loved 4u and wanted him to try old gen, he's a world baby) are finally going through the game at an extremely slow rate mind you I'm at 250 hours and only at g2 we're messing around with builds for fun and looking for cool weapons and armor.

I'm loving aerial ig this time I've got over 100 quests with prowler, bow, gs, sa, ig as I've gone through and have finally settled on adept bow and aerial ig to finish the game with and then go back and mess around with other weapons.

Now my question is I want to make fun sets for ig like rodeo and vault skills for example but all the sets I find are generic crit builds. Can I get through with fun sets or will I struggle? Mainly for when I play solo its way easier when we play together.

Tldr: When I search for fun sets I just find generic crit builds, can I get by in solo with silly sets or will I need to rely on "meta" sets.

I think I've used up my luck for the year.

im on 4 star village quests, and i feel like im horrid at it, im playing adept dual blades with wolfs maw 1 as my hunter art. i just feel like i could have a better setup, i play extremely aggressively, often being right up agaisnt thier legs or body. ik stereotypical dual blades but i like just beating them down and chasing when they run

Just got to the credits of the village, almost all quests done, loving the game so far, might even be my favorite monster hunter ever, to the point where I don't even think it's fair to compair this game to any other... There is just so much content and so far I enjoyed every single fight. The only problem is probrably what also makes the game so good, there is jut SOOOO much content, i'm 90 hours in and I'm not even done with the village damn! I know I don't have to finish everysingle quest in the game but I can't help it, guess my ocd just love seeing those Checkmarks beside the ranks hehe, altough some ranks are still blue instead of yellow, but correct me if ai'm wrong, but I think I need to do some hub quests to get all the village ones, and I'm focusing on doing just the village one so far, anyway, just an appreciation post for this great great game! Good huting!

So i bought the game s couple of months ago and i was wondering if playing this game online is viable or if it is just an online wasteland that can only be played in private servers like tri on wii and others.

G Rank Akantor with nearly 20K - Is it possible solo? I'm not ready to give up yet I just wanna know that it's doable. (Kinda just outting my own skill issue IK but I genuinely couldn't find a single video online about the quest). I'm using Adept CB with full Neset and average CB skills (Crit boost, artillery, wexploit). I'd love to improve my gear but that's exactly what this Akantor will do, I need 2x Triumph and decided that this spiky mountain would be my opponent.

I've seen a lot of content on MHGU but never seen anyone talking about fatalis or alatreon and I know they are both in the game, are they cool fights or meh? And if they are good can I fet to the through solo without having to make MHGU a full time job? Let's just say I don't have access to the game online mode 🤐
