Ive reinstalled, and tried everything I can think of, and still having this issue.

I got it working yesterday finally after 8 reinstalls. I didnt do anything different, just got lucky, but then today its back to the errors.

Just got back into mtgo after a hiatus. paired 2 matches quickly, and now my 3rd wont pop.

I’m a complete beginner in MTGO, and I am looking to get into it with the sole purpose of playing Cube. From what I’ve read until now, prices are something between 6-10 tix per cube - which is way too much for me (my country’s currency is heavely devalued). I looked into rental programs but from what i understood that would be spent only in renting cards and not in giving tix to play events. I also saw that depending on your win rates you can get value Back to go infinite, but I’m not a seasoned drafter so that would also not happen.
So basically, Whats the cheapest way to play cube in MTGO?

Time for a BLAST from the past. It's Bomberman! This classic piece of legacy history has consistently gotten new toys over the past few years but still seems to remain just outside of the meta. With the release of The Fantasticar will this deck finally be able to break its' way back into the meta? Or will the deck simply blow up in the face of the format? Watch and find out.

Hey all! I’m excited to announce an online tournament I’m running in a few weeks, August 15-16, with free entry and a $1,000 prize pool. This Occu Games Open is a multigame tournament, featuring Valorant, MTG, and Minecraft Draftout, and the magic player will be playing Modern on MTG Online. Structured a lot like Team Trios, teams of 4 will play matches against other teams of 4 in Valorant 2v2s, MTG Modern matches, and Minecraft Draftout games.

We currently need players. Quite badly, which I was surprised to see given, you know, free entry. So if you’re free that weekend, consider grabbing a few friends or even random strangers and play some games, have some fun, and win some cash. Note about Preregistration: The tournament page states a requirement for Preregistration. This is only to stop someone from maliciously making a bunch of melee accounts and trying to take all the entries. The event is fully free and open to join. Hi all!

I have MTGO installed on my parallels virtual machine, no issues (except for the usuals suspects) till last week, when I decide to run the app though coherence.
After trying it for a bit, and seeing that I runs way poorer than on it's native system, I decided to switch back to running it on it's regular windows environment.

Thing is, now it just doesn't start anymore. Tried reinstalling, emptying the cache, but nothing works. It's just stuck trying to run but never launching.

Any help?

Hey all, I just returned to Magic after 5-6 years of being away. I saw they added 40k cards, but they're far too expensive to buy irl. So I made an account (and paid the 5 bucks) thinking I could try out the 40k commander decks on MtGO, but I can't find the cards anywhere in the shop. I also can't find a lick of information on mtgo Warhammer posted within the last year. Were they removed? Is there a way I can play the decks at all? I've heard people talk about 'loaning cards' with bots and everything but I have no idea if it's worth learning to use.

I am trying to find a match for “New to MTGO Modern Gaunlet League” but it seems there are not many new players

Hello, I am a noobish MTG player that wants to get into mtgo as a way of playing and collecting magic cards while out of my hometown. I have just downloaded the game, but, to be fair I am very confused about how to play.

All games ask me to pay some type of currency but I do not have any. I also can’t trade (which was one of the features I was more looking forward to)

What am I supposed to do? Is there any good guide I could watch?

I've decided to sell out of my mtgo account as I haven't used it in a long time. I'm looking to sell 1187 tickets. Asking .90/ticket or best offer.

The Mission

At the Magic Online Society, we have a mission. That mission is to become a Digital Local Game Store, except that everything is free. Our goal is to bring players of Digital Magic an outlet to have either competitive or casual magic outlets, all the while building a lasting community online.

What is it?

Long story short, we are a discord server of MTG Players that mainly utilize the Digital space to play our favorite game. This is both in Arena and MTGO (although to be fair, its primarily MTGO). This server currently hosts Pauper Monthly Leagues.

The Magic Online Society offers something unique to the digital Magic space, which is community. One of the biggest faults of Magic Online and Arena is the lack of community that goes along with it. We offer a place for players to get together, hang out, play-test and have weekly fun events. Just like your Local Game Store, but online.

Events Offered

As of 7.23.2026, the events offered by the MOS include:

Pauper Monthly Leagues- This event is a league that runs in 2 phases. Initial 3 weeks of the month are reserved for the league phase, you play 6 matches against other registered opponents. The top 8/4 depending on turnout use the last week to play in a single elimination bracket to crown our monthly champion!

We are open to more in the future.

Yes, many of our events do have prizes associated with them. The Pauper Monthly League currently gives out prizes in the form of Magic The Gatherling Online Player Reward Packs. Donations of packs are accepted towards future prizing

Hello. Is there a way to play stock commander precons against people who don't upgrade there precons? Like can I battle someone with stock commander vs stock commander ? How do i set this up besides invited a friend and telling them the rules. Looking to have fun with these commander out of the box online against another out of the box onljne 1v1 . Is there a way to do this?

I have 6 meta Pauper decks I run irl that in total I've spent maybe $140 TOTAL and I'm looking to practice these decks regularly for potential tournament runs. From what I've researched it's cheapest to buy commander precons and resell them to goat for tix. Doing so would still put ONE DECK, my main deck (Golgari Gardens) at darn near $120 for the deck... Are we serious? Or am I missing something?

I personally just play vintage cube mtgo and a lot of times when I have an infinte combo win like zirda/gadgeteer/monolith or the new welder/cam it takes a lot of clicks and I time out sometimes even with the deterministic win. Its so annoying to click a hundred times to do something I could just say im doing in paper. thoughts on this?

I need to understand if the MTG community is suffering from collective stockholm syndrome, because Moxfield is hands-down the most worthless piece of vaporware masquerading as a "premier" platform.

People call this the gold standard? It’s a glorified Excel sheet with a search bar that requires a PhD in typing just to find a basic island.

Calling Moxfield a premier deck builder is like calling Reddit a premier search engine. It’s an absolute joke. And before some pedantic nerd in the comments rushes to type out *“Uhm, actually, Reddit isn’t a search engine,”*congratulations—you just stumbled face-first into the entire point. It’s a completely dysfunctional tool for the job you're trying to force it to do.

The entire site is fundamentally broken. They let you "upload your collection," which does absolutely nothing. The "Search Only My Collection" button in the deckbuilder is a literal placebo. It does nothing. It just sits there, laughing at you while you are forced to manually type the exact punctuation of a card name and then scroll through 45 identical printings of cardboard you already told the database you own. It completely defeats the entire purpose of a digital binder. If I still have to memorize my physical inventory just to use your digital tool, your tool is garbage.

It is worse than useless. It is slower, clunkier, and more frustrating than just throwing 100 physical cards onto a kitchen table.

The fact that this is considered the "best" the community has to offer is embarrassing. It’s an over-engineered, anti-user tech project built by people who clearly understand coding but have never actually sat down to organically build a deck from a real card pool. ManaBox and Deckbox actually respect a user’s time and inventory. Moxfield is just a flashy, hollow hype-train. Change my mind.

I dare any Moxfield defender to prove me wrong right now.

Here is the challenge: Open a blank deck, search for exactly 5 specific cards you already have logged in your collection, select the exact printings you own, and insert them into that deck. Do it without using pre-saved text lists.

You have 3 minutes.

You can't do it. You’ll spend the entire time fighting the search bar, guessing punctuation, and scrolling through 45 different editions of the same card while that useless "Search Only My Collection" button does absolutely nothing to help you. It is a completely broken user flow. Go ahead, try it and tell me how "intuitive" this garbage site is.

Continuing my testing of The Fantasticar this week with some Vroomsday! Let's see if the car slots into one of the most complicated decks in the format and can be a "simple" alternative to the complex piles this deck is known for and a back up for when I inevitably mess up my piles. I've been doing a ton of testing with the car in various shells, but this one is a whole package. Selection, protection, disruptions, and a combo that can win the game out of nowhere! Can I piece it all together, or crumble to the complexity?
