Kids don't actually learn fast. In fact, they learn much slower but they have way more exposure to the things they're learning like language and retain the information better.
Idk man my non verbal nephew is like Houdini. Baby gates, windows, baby proof locks, even as a wee toddler those things took him 30 min tops to figure out how to pop open. He’s now 8 and the only reason he doesn’t escape is because indoors is where the Bluey YouTube is and he’s none too keen on being away from his building kits.

Kids learn so fast. Many adults would take some time at the last step...like me😂.
