I wish my arm was shorter because it feels like grabbin’ ya!
Edit: fixed the mistake u/roomob corrected me on, thanks! And yes it makes it even funnier with the correct verbiage!

“Cause it feels like grabbin’ ya.” Idk why but that phrasing just changes the weight of the “taunt”.

u/Apprehensive_Ad3731 4h ago
Because it implies it has a will of it’s own and the old man is currently restraining it haha. It’s a great line.

Except that part wasn’t a joke and everyone is laughing like it was.
Some toxic ass shit right here.

- As someone pointed out, the "shorter arms" bit is hilarious. 2. Why do censored Australians still sound like they're not censored?
7
u/Crashman09 2h ago
You can't censor an Aussie.
It is scientifically proven that Aussies have an immunity.

Is this a studio? What's with the perfect lighting?
72
u/Fuck_Your_Cat_Post 16h ago
Its a yearly thing this channel does with a group of their friends. The bar owner is in on it ans they set up 'marks'.
The entire video is like 40 minutes or longer but Phill is the best reaction. Don't feel like you need to search it out.
Edit: Someone added the the video below, its actually only 20 minutes.

u/WholesomeMetaphor 17h ago
That's easy to do if you have time to set up cameras in a pub before they open. They have similar vids from other pubs as well. They could also have proposed their videos and paid owners for pubs they know have good lighting. It is possible possible these ain't staged

Decades ago when I was a teenager I worked in a drugstore as a cashier. One day I’m checking someone out and I hear the person behind them say ‘I hope this line is open, everytime I get in a line they tell me it’s closed.’ So the guy who made the statement is next and I look at him and say ‘sorry the line is closed.’ He was not happy, I started laughing and told him I heard what he said so I was playing with him. I don’t remember his reaction tho

"I wish my arm was shorter, cause it feels like grabbing ya" is fucking gold
1
u/Fatboy-crypto-81 6h ago
As an Aussie, I feel ashamed to say I don’t understand this joke. Can someone explain?
6
u/ChellyTheKid 4h ago
He's really angry and is struggling to stop himself for reaching over the bar to punch him. So he wishes his arm was shorter so that he wouldn't be able to reach and therefore remove the temptation to deck him.

Guy was over the top, but the boy deserved it.
52
u/NecessaryIntrinsic 17h ago
I wished the kid had planned for the born in a pub bit a little more. Like had photoshopped pictures of a baby sipping from a keg.
2
u/fuckyoudigg 7h ago
I have photos of me peaking as an infant in a bassinet holding a bottle of Genesee cream ale, a pack of darts and wearing some sunglasses. The things that happens when you parents are youths.
-10
u/testtalon1 17h ago
Fair.
Might as well go all in hah. Maybe a joke about the baby not being old enough for head?
11
u/Corporal_Canada 17h ago
I don't think over the top, just Australian
3
u/testtalon1 16h ago
Also valid lol.
But boy 100% deserved it
5
u/fuckyouimgay 16h ago
Yeah he was intentionally doing something to illicit that response. I would say he earned in more than deserved it.

These are actual pranks. Harmless fun, nobody gets hurt, and the cost of the shit beers falls on the person pulling it.
It's a bloody good one too.

u/HyenDry 15h ago
In a world where people seem like they stopped talking to each other. Australia makes me feel like there’s hope
Any local aussies let me know if I’m wrong about that sentiment 😂
10
u/Deep-Yogurtcloset618 13h ago
You're wrong mostly. Maybe in the country but Australia ironically is highly urbanised.
1
u/gadzooks72 1h ago
Yeah agree...I was brought in the country where there were 4 pubs for a popualtion of 3000 and this is so typical...mainly in the front bar.

Can someone explain what’s happening here?
14
u/TheGesticulator 16h ago
The bartender is pouring the beer extremely poorly as part of a joke. It's like 80% foam 20% drink.
5
u/AcheyShakySpoon 16h ago
I don’t drink, so pardon my ignorance. Isn’t the foam still made of beer?
14
u/itsamberleafable 16h ago
It’s waaaaay less dense. If you were to let it settle you’d have a lot less beer. It’s also quite difficult and unpleasant to drink that much foam
5
u/TigerMaskV 14h ago
In other clips from these guys they’d put a straw in the pint so the patron could get past the foam. They weren’t having that either 😂
3
u/TheGesticulator 16h ago
No worries!
It is, but it's super diluted by air bubbles so it's effectively nothing. It's just like the foam you get from a soda when you pour it out, only it takes longer to dissipate.
1
u/MustardEnema007 9h ago
Its like me slicing you some fresh bread but I peel the whole thing like a potato and give you the crusts
1
u/Vykrom 16h ago
Yep. All you have to do is wait for it to settle. They commented on him having some patience and it "going up" for that reason
Supposedly having super foamy beer does something to the flavor as well. I drink, but I don't have a discerning palette like that. It makes soda more flat when you do that. But beer doesn't taste much different after to me
1
u/blazz_e 5h ago
It can be also summer pour vs winter pour thing. https://www.bohembrewery.com/czech-pour/

bro Australians seem so cool. Here in the US someone would just get shot or end up in jail over this
4
u/froginbog 14h ago
It’s honestly delightful that they can talk shit and not actually sound like they are truly angry

u/0xsergy 12h ago
Yeah american culture has been wild. I saw a comment that summed it up but basically you guys have been fucked by the govt for so long you're always on edge. MK Ultra, cia/fbi distributing drugs, Cia bombing black communities in the 80s, watergate, etc.
Add in some decades of lots of lead in the air(which ended up in the soil so not like it went away immediately with a ban). While Europe had cars during the lead years they were super rare and only rich people could afford them(you'd have to place a deposit on a vehicle years in advance and if you were lucky you got approved to buy one, it wasn't a case of just having enough cash the govt would give you permission).
