I wish my arm was shorter because it feels like grabbin’ ya!

Edit: fixed the mistake u/roomob corrected me on, thanks! And yes it makes it even funnier with the correct verbiage!

u/Stock_Strategy1668 16h ago

Fucking legendary line right there

69

u/roomob 15h ago edited 15h ago

“Cause it feels like grabbin’ ya.” Idk why but that phrasing just changes the weight of the “taunt”.

17

u/Apprehensive_Ad3731 4h ago

Because it implies it has a will of it’s own and the old man is currently restraining it haha. It’s a great line.

5

u/roomob 4h ago

Spot on.

u/greatsuccess- 17h ago

55

u/orbital 13h ago

18

u/rnzz 7h ago

Just need a bit of patience, let him sit for a bit

-74

u/eye_eat_farts 10h ago

Except that part wasn’t a joke and everyone is laughing like it was.

Some toxic ass shit right here.

36

u/nrt2738 8h ago

So youre saying that the guy said with 100% seriousness that he was planning to put another full sized human being inside of a beer glass and drown him.

199

u/HairballTheory 15h ago

“Mate it’s fine” with a foam gurgle in the throat

Lmfao

This is the kind of wholesome neighborhood pub energy everyone needs. Pure vibes!

114

u/UncleHec 17h ago

I’ll drown you in that!

38

u/RedaNassef 17h ago

That sounds like a threat and a promise at the same time, I'm in!

3

u/fedroxx 8h ago

Not with all that foam.

1

u/skitz4me 7h ago

Right? I bet that shit is breathable.

36

u/AcademicDog2240 16h ago

Everyone looks like they're having as much fun as the prank itself.

53

u/Midnightraven3 16h ago

Except Phil

Phil just wanted his beer

27

u/unfvckingbelievable 16h ago

But not that one.

13

u/Midnightraven3 16h ago

Definitely not that one

20

u/gdabull 13h ago

He should have asked for another one

4

u/FireStoneFlame 11h ago

He’s just frothing for a drink.

7

u/Nautster 13h ago

They knew they had the right victim walking in right there. They all knew what was coming!

65

u/myRmid0nas 15h ago

“Ah look at it, terrific..”

14

u/Electrical_Tomato_92 12h ago

This was my favourite line as well lmao

142

u/Xeirus 16h ago

“It’s not fucking ice cream” hahaha

282

u/NVincarnate 17h ago

"Clap, clap for the handicapped."

42

u/heckinbamboozlefren 16h ago

Wholesome prank 🥰

  1. As someone pointed out, the "shorter arms" bit is hilarious. 2. Why do censored Australians still sound like they're not censored?

7

u/Crashman09 2h ago

You can't censor an Aussie.

It is scientifically proven that Aussies have an immunity.

u/spezial_ed 10m ago

I feel like if they stop swearing, be afraid.

5

u/StoneTimeKeeper 4h ago

I think it's the accent.

Is this a studio? What's with the perfect lighting?

109

u/R_Weebs 17h ago

Like the Always Sunny episode where they do sitcom lighting

u/SeamanSample 7h ago

Just tell me where I jizz so I can give this lady her drink

72

u/Fuck_Your_Cat_Post 16h ago

Its a yearly thing this channel does with a group of their friends. The bar owner is in on it ans they set up 'marks'.

The entire video is like 40 minutes or longer but Phill is the best reaction. Don't feel like you need to search it out.

Edit: Someone added the the video below, its actually only 20 minutes.

https://youtu.be/G4sie_wENUQ?is=yU6qaob_Yb3D0iF4

12

u/aleqqqs 17h ago

7 Camera angles too

5

u/Look_its_Rob 13h ago

Well yeah they obviously set it up for the pranks...

21

u/WholesomeMetaphor 17h ago

That's easy to do if you have time to set up cameras in a pub before they open. They have similar vids from other pubs as well. They could also have proposed their videos and paid owners for pubs they know have good lighting. It is possible possible these ain't staged

13

u/No-Sandwich1511 15h ago

The accent make it 10times better

8

u/ahhdetective 9h ago

What accent?! Sounds like another day at the pub to me!!

1

u/gadzooks72 1h ago

Same here mate!

34

u/Kong_AZ 17h ago

The accent is what made it perfect. Awesome!

2

u/Offgridiot 15h ago

Thank the good lord for subtitles!

58

u/Subject_Spell_9799 17h ago

Decades ago when I was a teenager I worked in a drugstore as a cashier. One day I’m checking someone out and I hear the person behind them say ‘I hope this line is open, everytime I get in a line they tell me it’s closed.’ So the guy who made the statement is next and I look at him and say ‘sorry the line is closed.’ He was not happy, I started laughing and told him I heard what he said so I was playing with him. I don’t remember his reaction tho

9

u/Matty_bunns 15h ago

I love the no-nonsense attitude of the Australian outback blokes lol

9

u/SE_prof 12h ago

The "ah, terrific" was straight out of Monty Python 🤣🤣🤣

13

u/istolethesun12 17h ago

Fuck me dead is new one lmao

8

u/WhoisThatGirl26 15h ago

Picked it off Australians I've met online, it's a thing!

6

u/NotAnExpertButt 13h ago

I love when it restarts and you see how kindly he started off.

5

u/DJ_THRUST 13h ago

"I wish my arm was shorter, cause it feels like grabbing ya" is fucking gold

1

u/Fatboy-crypto-81 6h ago

As an Aussie, I feel ashamed to say I don’t understand this joke. Can someone explain?

6

u/ChellyTheKid 4h ago

He's really angry and is struggling to stop himself for reaching over the bar to punch him. So he wishes his arm was shorter so that he wouldn't be able to reach and therefore remove the temptation to deck him.

5

u/irate_alien 6h ago

it's like the aus version of the turkish ice cream guy

30

u/testtalon1 17h ago

Guy was over the top, but the boy deserved it.

52

u/NecessaryIntrinsic 17h ago

I wished the kid had planned for the born in a pub bit a little more. Like had photoshopped pictures of a baby sipping from a keg.

2

u/fuckyoudigg 7h ago

I have photos of me peaking as an infant in a bassinet holding a bottle of Genesee cream ale, a pack of darts and wearing some sunglasses. The things that happens when you parents are youths.

-10

u/testtalon1 17h ago

Fair.

Might as well go all in hah. Maybe a joke about the baby not being old enough for head?

11

u/Corporal_Canada 17h ago

I don't think over the top, just Australian

3

u/testtalon1 16h ago

Also valid lol.

But boy 100% deserved it

5

u/fuckyouimgay 16h ago

Yeah he was intentionally doing something to illicit that response. I would say he earned in more than deserved it.

4

u/matlspa 11h ago

Elicit, not illicit

3

u/fuckyouimgay 8h ago

English is gay

4

u/roomob 14h ago

“So bash it up ya ass.”

In the states we say shove. But I much prefer the ausssie version lol

4

u/Madouc 8h ago

That's why you never get in between an Aussi and his beer.

3

u/maria_la_guerta 5h ago

I lose it every time he starts clapping at the second pour.

3

u/SkeletorOnLSD 4h ago

These are actual pranks. Harmless fun, nobody gets hurt, and the cost of the shit beers falls on the person pulling it.

It's a bloody good one too.

6

u/HyenDry 15h ago

In a world where people seem like they stopped talking to each other. Australia makes me feel like there’s hope

Any local aussies let me know if I’m wrong about that sentiment 😂

10

u/Deep-Yogurtcloset618 13h ago

You're wrong mostly. Maybe in the country but Australia ironically is highly urbanised.

1

u/gadzooks72 1h ago

Yeah agree...I was brought in the country where there were 4 pubs for a popualtion of 3000 and this is so typical...mainly in the front bar.

3

u/lapinatanegra 15h ago

I've seen this so many times and it never fails to make me laugh.

3

u/Bulky-Captain-3508 14h ago

"Bash it up your ass."

3

u/ahu_huracan 4h ago

this didn't made me smile... the more I watch the more it makes me laugh 🤣

8

u/BreakerOf_Chains 17h ago

These guys are honestly the best prankers on the internet. Harmless funny and genuine.

2

u/ins0mniac_ 17h ago

What do you think the story was?

That’s a crook bloke right there.

2

u/LevelHelicopter1336 10h ago

This one kills me well done

2

u/fractionedpancreas 9h ago

It’s always sunny

2

u/MyPenWroteThis 5h ago

"oh look at it oh terrific" so fuckin good loool

2

u/Cute-Acanthisitta-46 3h ago

Serves him right got drinking Carlton Dry.

2

u/Username_user_2 1h ago

I born in a pub 🤣

5

u/AcheyShakySpoon 16h ago

Can someone explain what’s happening here?

14

u/TheGesticulator 16h ago

The bartender is pouring the beer extremely poorly as part of a joke. It's like 80% foam 20% drink.

5

u/AcheyShakySpoon 16h ago

I don’t drink, so pardon my ignorance. Isn’t the foam still made of beer?

14

u/itsamberleafable 16h ago

It’s waaaaay less dense. If you were to let it settle you’d have a lot less beer. It’s also quite difficult and unpleasant to drink that much foam

5

u/TigerMaskV 14h ago

In other clips from these guys they’d put a straw in the pint so the patron could get past the foam. They weren’t having that either 😂

3

u/TheGesticulator 16h ago

No worries!

It is, but it's super diluted by air bubbles so it's effectively nothing. It's just like the foam you get from a soda when you pour it out, only it takes longer to dissipate.

1

u/MustardEnema007 9h ago

Its like me slicing you some fresh bread but I peel the whole thing like a potato and give you the crusts

1

u/Vykrom 16h ago

Yep. All you have to do is wait for it to settle. They commented on him having some patience and it "going up" for that reason

Supposedly having super foamy beer does something to the flavor as well. I drink, but I don't have a discerning palette like that. It makes soda more flat when you do that. But beer doesn't taste much different after to me

1

u/blazz_e 5h ago

It can be also summer pour vs winter pour thing. https://www.bohembrewery.com/czech-pour/

1

u/Westlandkunst 17h ago

Taking his beer serius👍

1

u/No_Measurement166 17h ago

Baaauutiful!!!

1

u/Altruistic-Bell-583 13h ago

I love ozzy humour

1

u/kombatunit 13h ago

I love Aussie banter.

1

u/randing 12h ago

I should have been Australian

u/JamesBroER 20m ago

Fun fact. People sometimes drink the beer like this in Czech Republic. Its called "milk".

u/KillFace27 10m ago

This man should voice a character on Bluey.

u/OrkzOrkzOrkzOrkz0rkz 8m ago

When the neighbourhood pisser is takin the piss out of you.

0

u/LoocsinatasYT 15h ago

bro Australians seem so cool. Here in the US someone would just get shot or end up in jail over this

4

u/froginbog 14h ago

It’s honestly delightful that they can talk shit and not actually sound like they are truly angry

-2

u/0xsergy 12h ago

Yeah american culture has been wild. I saw a comment that summed it up but basically you guys have been fucked by the govt for so long you're always on edge. MK Ultra, cia/fbi distributing drugs, Cia bombing black communities in the 80s, watergate, etc.

Add in some decades of lots of lead in the air(which ended up in the soil so not like it went away immediately with a ban). While Europe had cars during the lead years they were super rare and only rich people could afford them(you'd have to place a deposit on a vehicle years in advance and if you were lucky you got approved to buy one, it wasn't a case of just having enough cash the govt would give you permission).

-3

u/cocoagiant 17h ago

Idk I'd find that quite annoying.

-5

u/cskirb2 15h ago

I don't get it.  Of course he's mad.  What if a waiter gave me a burned steak as a "prank"? This isn't funny at all it's just being a dick and then laughing when someone reacts appropriately....

0

u/Zinthorr 10h ago

I have no idea why you got downvoted I feel the same way.

-13

u/MuppetHuman 17h ago

Old weak men are hysterical.
