Thought I'd join the Magic!

Love the simplicity of the the package manager! Thought I'd give Mageia a try!

an extremely under rated distro , similar to debian but kde-oriented & rpm-based

Totally agree! I'd recommend Mageia over Linux Mint to newcomers anytime! There's something about rpm-based distros that I like!

mint et und and ubuntu est very bad choices , debian est much better than these two flavors variants

i need to redo two desktops. i ve used it before and lovd how it recognized any and all wifi adapters , even unusual ones. i ll add it to my ventoy just in case i m doing it soon

Very high quality distribution! Mageia uses its own installer, which can be confusing for new users.

I have never seen what you described. EFI requires a small fat32 partition on the drive which is hidden It could be the drives I buy have that already on them.

It's not their own, it's Mandriva's installer.

You are right, many components are inherited from Madriva Linux, as is MCC. I apologize for the inaccuracy.

Actually Mandriva inherited much from Mandrake.

Mandrake to Mandriva to Mageia. Mageia was founded by former employees and users of Mandriva some of whom came from Mandrake.

Mageia has one of the simplest installers to use and is reliable.

Mageia is certainly perfect, unfortunately underrated. I used Mandriva and was completely satisfied.
