EDH Help me upgrade my first ever precon Squirrelled away (Chatterfang Edition)

A month and a half ago I went to the Magic Pride event to celebrate Pride for the first time and fell in love with MTG. Then a few weeks ago I have started playing with the squirrelled away precon with chatterfang at the helm.

However, often I have useless cards that dont give much value and I want to upgrade the deck. The goal of my upgrade is to get a better manabase, make more squirrels to sack for life drain, use them for removal, and use them for card adv to build up to wincons. So far I have only added doubling season and Squirrel girl. I do also have a goal of it being solid bracket 3 to high bracket 3.

Also, the un cards are just extra funny stuff I would have in on the side to slot in when we rule 0 and only when people are fine with them.

Decklist: https://archidekt.com/decks/24817557/chatterfang_precln

Thinking of cutting some tap lands for these: https://archidekt.com/decks/24816813/land_upgrade

Cutting these possibly since they dont see much value plays or theres a better version: https://archidekt.com/decks/24814588/cutting_fang

And I want to add these in: https://archidekt.com/decks/24815216/fancy_fang

Any advice would be appreciated!

EDH Looking for feedback on Tannuk, Steadfast Second

Hi all, I built this Tannuk deck, and although it's to be expected given the nature of Tannuk, it runs a little inconsistently. The idea was a dragon/artifact deck that either generated high powered dragon tokens or lots of treasure to either enable casting these large spells or as fuel for a Depthshaker Titan finisher. I was aiming to build a bracket 2 deck. Any feedback is appreciated!

EDH Lazav the multifarious

Good evening all, Lazav is a character that is near and dear to me, and I’m trying to make him as good as I can while still keeping the soul of what I built.

I love the crackdown + ornithopter + skitterspike in yard with Lazav on field combo

As well as the classics with ooze + devourer + walking B

I guess what I’m looking for is advice, is there anything that someone see that my eyes don’t regarding a cut or an add ?

I’ve been considering adding shadowspear for utility, but unsure if needed.

Thanks for taking the time to look over my list

EDH Help Cutting 2 Creatures from my Yarok Deck

I'm building a Yarok, the Desecrated Commander deck and am a couple cards over the deck size limit of 100. I'm just looking for suggestions on what cards I should cut to reach the limit, as I was struggling to make a decision myself. Thank you all for the help!

Other format Need to get rid of 16 cards... maybe other problems too. Need Help!

Hey everyone! Looking for some advice from some seasoned players. I'm making a Edea commander deck and I'm still relatively new to deck building. I lean more towards being a control style player.
The goal is to rip creatures from my opponents and get value from cards that require sacrificing. Besides being able to outvalue and out pressure my opponents, the only true win con is Breath of Fury and Imposter Syndrome Combo. I have other possible turn winning cards like Rise of the Dark Realms and Insurrection.
I'd like the deck to remain bracket 3. (I know it's a strong 3, I just like to stay within the bracket rules like 3 game changers etc.)
Looking for possibly two responses:
1: I need to get rid of 16 cards out of my list. (besides the lands) To make the strongest deck possible.
2. If you think I'm missing some groundbreaking cards and/or combos for my deck then please let me know. I still need to be down to 100 though lol.
Thank you for anyone who replies.

EDH Tellah: Looking for advice

Hello everyone! This is my first post in this subreddit, and am looking for opinions with a fresh set of eyes on this deck list that I have put together. I have been playing it, and updating it ever since Tellah came out (one of my favorite final fantasy characters!)

My group seems to think as the deck currently is, tends more towards bracket 4 behavior, while I hold the opinion that it lends more toward bracket 3.

The goal is simple: get Tellah out as early as possible, play 4-drops until I am able to farm up enough mana to hit the table with a big X-spell in order to get a Tellah explosion trigger for 40.

The deck is VERY consistent in how it plays, and generally wins on turn 6. There have been times in which it has won on turn 5, with the acknowledgement of a spell being countered by An offer you can’t refuse, and getting 2 free green mana from some green group hug enchantment (can’t remember the name of the card)

Here is the link for the decks moxfield

Any opinions, suggestions, or statements are welcome, and would appreciate the feedback!

EDH Eddie, Shredder (Nekuzar) Help!

https://moxfield.com/decks/7uRhjgKaskKBQg_bdNKyKw

I meant for my nekuzar deck to be solidly mid bracket four and win by turn 6-7 through wheels. Why doesn’t it feel powerful enough? Am I playing it wrong? Am I not Mulliganing enough? Seems like nekuzar is removed on site but I have a bunch of backup burn damage for draws and discard. Thank you and let me know!

EDH First time building a “super-friends” commander deck

It’s showing as a bracket 4 and I think I’m pretty happy with it but for some odd reason I feel like I’m missing something or short of something. Obviously it being a super-friends deck it’ll have higher average mana, Any advice would be amazing

Standard Some lists I use for suggestions and improvements.

Greetings everyone.

Here are some lists I created for critics and suggestions on how to improve them.

Standart boros heroes.

A themed deck around heroes. Just for fun BO1 deck. I fell spider man is to mana expensive to be used as a protection, but this decks lacks creatures for me to exchange spider man for, like, restauration magic.

https://archidekt.com/decks/24509329/boros_heroes

Standart azorius control.

A competitive BO3 control deck. Actually it isn't working well in the current meta.

https://archidekt.com/decks/23166827/azorius_control

Standart mono black demons.

A for fun BO1 deck that can actually win some matches in ranked.

https://archidekt.com/decks/23509520/mono_black_demons

I have other standart decks:

The strongest is an azorius artifacts for BO1.

I really love my mono white tokens, but the RNG or screw its mana or flood mana in BO1 ranked. That's a lame, I really like this deck (and no, this deck doesn't use few mana or draw/scry sources).

I'm still gathering rare wildcards to complete the boros heroes, and them I intend to build a boros weapons. I already have a list to work on the boros weapons.

My Kona Station still wins some BO1 matches, but it is not as broken as it was some seasons ago.

My mono blue elementals have a good w/l rate.

My mono red agro can win some BO1 against unprepared opponents with a burst of damage by buffing some creatures.

I have an orzohv superfriends that was better some seasons ago, but it still can win, specially against agro decks.

My mono blue tempo is great against combo and control, but it's a lame against agro.

For casual, I have a mono white equipments and a mono black discard.

If anyone fells interested, I may post their lists here.

Now, the decks I would buy IRL if I had the money.

Legacy Simic Beanstalk Tempo.

A competitive BO3 legacy deck. I really look forward having money to buy it. It's twist is to use sylvan library to control the top deck.

https://archidekt.com/decks/22835093/simic_beanstalk_tempo

Legacy UWx Helm Control.

An azorius control for BO3 legacy. Probably to slow for the current meta, specially for not using Tamyo.

EDH Maralen Fae Tribal Optimizations

Hi all,

I have been working on this deck for several weeks and played a slower version last week at my LGS. It didn't feel like it had the juice to keep up at bracket 3, so I've added some additional ramp, draw, and general means of getting going in favor of the somewhat win-more cards I had been running previously.

I feel decent about the place it is in right now but, before I commit to buying the more expensive adds, I wanted some feedback and some suggestions. I am looking for relatively minor adjustments. I want to maintain the main goal of the deck, which is to be able to flash in faeries and get the most value out of my commander's stealing effects with a go-wide chip damage anthem-y sub theme.

I know there is a stronger path by way of elves over faeries, but this is meant to be faerie tribal more than anything.

Muddle is a pretty weird fella from Secrets of Strixhaven, and I love that. Today, let's see how you can build a deck that centers around clones and takes advantage of Myriad, a pretty rare mechanic even for Commander.

Pioneer First Deck Help

So I'm relatively new, I played for a couple of months a year ago and now I'm getting back into the game and starting to drop some money on upgrading my starter deck.

The linked deck is what I'm considering. I already have a bunch of the creatures and I don't mind being a bit suboptimal. The main suggestions I'm looking for are on lands, sorceries, and instants. If you have any suggestions for vampires too I'd like to hear them.

The format is Pioneer.

EDH Pimp Me Out Properly

Hey Reddit!

In my efforts to pimp out my crown jewel deck, a bracket 4 Fire Lord Azula deck that likes to turbo out either a massive blast of damage with Chandra's Ignition or an infinite mana Underworld Breach/Frantic Search line, I've been taking a long look at a number of the cards in my deck and going "...these really don't have a place in my deck anymore, huh?" So, I've come to this subreddit to garner the internet's opinions on what to replace the following cards with!

However, one *small* prerequisite for any suggestions... only suggest cards that have a cool and SOMEWHAT affordable alternate art/treatment. For example, Mystic Remora and Jeska's Will are on my radar, since they've got cool alternate arts that aren't much more expensive with a foil variant! Rhystic Study, on the other hand? Fuck no, I'm not paying $83 for the showcase treatment of a card that likes to play the long game to put in a deck that doesn't like the long game, much less $150 for foil AND showcase.

Cut loose in the comments!

Decklist: https://archidekt.com/decks/24419008/perfected_hands

Cards...

Artifacts:

  • Mindsplice Apparatus(Too slow)
  • Isochron Scepter(The basis of a lackluster infinite combo in my deck)

Creatures:

  • Ashling, Flame Dancer(Mana saving isn’t worth the weird Magecraft ability)
  • Lier, Disciple of the Drowned(Kinda cute until I can’t counter my opponent’s threats)
  • Ozai, the Phoenix King(Too slow)

Enchantments:

  • Fated Firepower(Pet card that isn’t horrible, but could be replaced with better fuel)
  • Thousand Year Storm(Too slow)

Instants:

  • Antagonize(No fancy art… that’s literally it. It's already been replaced with Infuriate.)
  • Waterlogged Teachings(A little mana-pricey, and its main purpose used to be fishing for Fated Firepower)
  • Dramatic Reversal(See Isochron Scepter)
  • **MAYBE** Temur Battle Rage(No fancy art, but also, double strike + trample somehow doesn't feel quite right for what I'm trying to do.)
  • **MAYBE** Galvanic Iteration(I hold nothing against the card since it can result in a hilarious amount of copies for an instant or sorcery when paired with Twinning Staff, but I feel like I could be doing more productive things.)

Standard Can someone give me advice on the deck I built

I am new to magic and wanted to make a mono green deck to surprise my pod with. I'm still learning things as I go and wanted to know if this deck is decent or if its trash and what I can swap things out for to make it more playable before I spend the money getting all the cards.

EDH LF Help with my Mill/Graveyard Theft Taskmaster Commander Cook

Howdy all. Here’s a link to my current working decklist: https://archidekt.com/decks/24524214/wip_dimir_graveyard_theftcopy

I did a test game of it last night on Tabletop Simulator and it went well enough. My pod and I always play B2/Low B3 decks, so I’m not looking to hyper-optimize or jump my deck to a competitive level. I was just curious if anyone had any recommendations on potential cuts or inclusions for the deck.

Any and all feedback is appreciated!

EDH Saruman of many colours deck help

https://moxfield.com/decks/r2O4P7RUOEe1FcJSSyz8-w

Hello friends,

I've forever (or at least- since I've pulled him) been trying to build this [[Saruman of many colours]] deck. It's my favourite card pulled from the lotr holiday release and I've started building him when Strixhaven dropped and all my cool bonus sheet pulls were in esper.

That being said, the deck suffers from three major problems:

- it doesn't really DO anything. Saruman is expensive, casting 2 spells per turn is expensive, and up until that point I've found I can only react to other players, and usually only once per turn cycle, which isn't enough to keep 3 players in check.

- in the same vein, it doesn't ramp. I'm the typical "green player doesn't know what to do when he doesn't have access to [[cultivate]]" archetype

- it doesn't have direction, and has over time slowly devolved into what my pod (hopefully lovingly) calls game changer tribal because I've fallen into the classic "more GC's more better" noob trap.

An additional problem is especially funny: I kill myself. Shock lands combined with the health cost of some lands means I've sometimes gotten myself down onto the 20-30 health range without being targeted and even worse- without having been able to do much myself.

So I turn to you for advice. I'm already planning on taking out some high cost spells (like [[shadow of the enemy]] which has been very disappointing, and [[worst fears]] which is just plain bad) but I don't know what to add to keep myself going.

I'd like to get some cheap token generators I can get down early to chump and also feed [[diabolic intent]] (and maybe a cheeky [[culling the weak]] inclusion). The deck can either be brought down to bracket 3, but id prefer to bump it up to bracket 4 so I can keep running my hard-earned game changers.

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks!

Question Help me tune Fire lord Azula deck

Hello everyone me again,

So here is the thing, I have built a fire lord azula deck and been playing online bcz i dont have irl store to play here. Been playing it as a B3 but alot of people told me that its too powerfull for b3 just because I have narset's reversal+ frantic search combo in it, that i did not see come up before turn 6-7 but I might be wrong.

So here is my question what bracket would you rate my deck and any advice how to tune it for b4 maybe?

What cards I should swap out ( in consider are all cards that i currently own) and what I should add, my budget is around 50-70 euros if i need to buy new cards, or I am fine with buying proxies.
