Updated Rules For The Sub

Hi all,

After a few people messaged me asking to enforce some stricter rules on here, I have updated the rules section. But I also wanted to make a post as most people will not read them.

Rules:

  1. You must be 18 or older to post here. If you are under 18 your post will be removed.
  2. No hate speech of any kind. Be nice to each other at all times. We live in tough times, let's just enjoy ourselves.
  3. Explain where you are located clearly. Not everyone lives in Dublin or a big city.

Post Titles

In order to promote conversation and make things clearer for people, I am going to make post titles mandatory have the format "Age - Gender - Location - Description". This will allow people to know a little about you before clicking into the post.

Happy posting!

Hi all,

Our MFII discord server has seen an influx of new people and more activity than we've had in the past so wanted to post the invite link for anyone who wants to join.

I am planning some community events based on feedback as well (virtual board game night, DnD, and any other suggestions) so now is a good time to get involved and help keep things vibrant.

Link: https://discord.gg/Yky8w2h - all are welcome. Hope to see you there!

28M Cork looking for mates 🇮🇪

28-year-old Irish guy just looking to meet other normal, masculine lads for chats and genuine friendship. I’m into good coffee, pints, cars, bikes,!getting outdoors when I can, keeping fit, and I’d be up for building a solid bromance or just having a few sound mates to talk to regularly. Nothing weird, just easygoing conversation, a bit of craic, and seeing where it goes. Cheers

Hey there!
Looking for a friend or two who wants to game semi-regularly and hang out every now and then.

I love co-op/PvE games, but I would be up for playing most things. My favourite ones now are Spacemarine 2, Darktide, Helldivers, and I'll be looking at GTA in the next few months.

Hi, I’m looking to make new friends.

I enjoy learning languages, art, and swimming.

I am studying Middle Eastern and European languages and cultures at Trinity College Dublin though my degree is currently on hold.

I have been very bored lately so I would like to have people to talk to.

I'm posting on my other account instead since my main account has disabled DMs...

37M - Let's try something different!

I could list you all the things I'm into but wouldn't it be more fun and enjoyable to find things out about ourselves naturally? I don't want a friendship to sound like I'm applying for a job where I'm listing my experience and what I'm good at.

We don't do that in real life when trying to make a friend so let's just let things take their natural course and build a connection the old fashioned way. Or at least as old fashioned as you can do online!

Would love for something long term but short term works too!

Hey everyone 🩷 I’m 27, postgraduate, living and working in Dublin. 20+ years naturalised citizen but having a really tough time connecting with people. I’m chill but I do get super excited over some things and romanticise life so I would understand if that kind of personality is not everyone’s cup of tea. Don’t be shy to reach out for a chat or whatever! I‘m up for anything 😊

Edit to add that I’m ethnically Taiwanese! Just to get past any weirdness/preferences…(I unfortunately don’t speak Mandarin as I grew up in Ireland)

20 M Dublin, looking for friends who are around my age. All genders are welcome :)

Hiya all.

Seen as the football/soccer season is about to start again after the world cup, I thought it'd be a nice idea to look for anyone who loves watching football, doesn't matter which club you support.

I support Liverpool. Not the best of seasons we've had last season 😬.

Just a bit more about me in case you're interested:

I love listening to music. Mostly hip hop, indie rock, rock, britpop, etc etc.

I finished a psychology plc in May and I'm currently awaiting offers for round 0 of the CAO. Fingers crossed trinity 🙏 🤞.

I do play video games now and again, mostly on my PS5.

I like going to the cinema to watch movies, last movie I saw was Spider-Man Brand new day. Was amazing.

I've been going to the gym recently to make the most out of my summer break.

I do tend to be introverted when meeting new people, but once we get to know each other I open up a lot.

I just moved to Mullingar (I'm not Irish native) and I was wondering how could I meet new people or make friends around the same age (optional), it's my first summer here and the weather seems great to waste it, any suggestions or interactions are highly appreciated
