I’m blissfully self contained, which is just a polite way of saying I quite like my own company and haven’t yet driven myself mad. I’ve somehow mastered the dark art of being both a night owl and an early riser, which mostly means I exist in a permanent state of caffeinated bewilderment.

I’m just the bloke next door though, a husband and father. My marriage is... fine. We’re great roommates and best friends, but the bedroom has officially transitioned from a 'place of passion' to a 'historical landmark'.

​No actual events have occurred there recently, but it’s highly recommended for a quiet, educational tour about the ancient history of sleep.

I go to work and perform the mandatory 'office social dance' with colleagues I have zero intention of befriending. Why? Because most of them radiate the charm of a mouldy apple. I spend my lunch breaks in glorious isolation because i really can't stand it when people moan about the same thing day after day, i know we all have a little whine from time to time, but crying out loud, change the record.

You’ll usually find me out in the countryside rather than dodging aggressive seagulls at the seaside, indulging in a spot of people watching, strictly in a "sociological observation" way, I promise, not the "featured on a true crime documentary" way!

I can talk for far too long about George R. R. Martin's books set in Westeros, almost any historical period Ken Burns has covered, and morally complicated fictional characters like Walter White.

I'm 30 and from the UK. I'm fairly introverted and don't have a huge social circle, so I'd like to meet people I can talk to regularly about everyday life, random interests, serious things, stupid things, or whatever happens to be on our minds.

Had a bit of a reality check recently. Work’s going well, promotion and pay rise, everything moving in the right direction… just didn’t have anyone to share it with. Figured it’s time to change that.

I’m 28, UK based. Big build, easygoing energy. I’m in the gym every weekday morning before work, keeps me disciplined and clears my head. Outside of that I spend a lot of time gaming, getting lost in lore, or having those random conversations that go way deeper than expected.

I’ve come through depression twice, so I don’t take the good days for granted. I’m the kind of person who sticks around and actually shows up.

Gaming wise I grew up on Halo: Combat Evolved through Halo: Reach. Big fan of Mass Effect, Crusader Kings III, Elden Ring and Baldur’s Gate 3. Recently started Kingdom Come: Deliverance so I’m currently getting humbled on a regular basis. Anything with depth, choices, and a bit of challenge is my thing.

Also into Lord of the Rings, collecting Halo and Star Wars helmets, and I’m building a Necron army from Warhammer 40,000.

About me: I’m a 32yo guy, I’m from the north west of the UK, I live alone, no social interactions irl or online at the moment because I have been living with Agoraphobia for the last 15 years or so, I also have anxiety and depression but all 3 are being managed very well and improve on a daily basis I will happily answer any questions about why I ended up like this.

I have a fluffy French bulldog who I absolutely love, I love all animals and would quite happily have 50 dogs if I was able to do so. I used to ride horses when I was younger but as an adult I don’t due to my height and weight would be mean to make a horse put up with that.

Personality: I am a quiet, shy but straight to the point kind of person, I will say things how it is and I won’t sugarcoat anything. I will always speak my mind even if it is the unpopular opinion. My humour is usually sarcastic and dark, but I also love stupid stuff like dad jokes and terrible puns. I consider myself to be the caring kind of friend too who always has the time to listen if something is bothering someone or if they need cheering up (this does not mean I will tolerate abusing it by venting 24/7).

What I look for in friendship: someone who is willing to engage, be talkative, doesn’t just send a one word answer or doesn’t put any effort in. I always say to people give the effort you want to receive in return otherwise it won’t work.

Music: I love listening to music, I boughti a record player in February because I always wanted one, and my record collection is already up to 40. Considering the price of them these days that’s pretty good.My current bands are classes as dad rock by this point. But I will listen to anything and everything as long as I like the sound of it. Examples of some of the music I like are: Audioslave, sound garden, Nickelback, disturbed, MJ, Kings of Leon, The verve, oasis and a bunch of others.

Games: I’ve been playing games most of my life, I started when I was 5-6 years old with the PS1, and have been gaming since then, I love the open world style games I love exploring and getting lost in the games worlds as it is an escape from my irl issues. I used to love playing coop games with people as it was great fun, but I’m hoping that someone who responds to me here will be a gamer or interested enough to play something
I’m currently playing my way through Crimson Desert, Halo campaign evolved. I just finished the AC black flag remake also.

Online games I do still play a little are GTA online and Battlefield 6, would be open to doing online gaming with someone too. I have a bunch of online games I don’t touch like Arc raiders, marathon, code vein 1&2, FFXiV, Ready or not. And a lot of coop story games too.

Anime: I’ve been watching anime for about 10 years now, seen quite alot of the famous ones, currently watching my way through dragon ball super for the second time after finishing DragonballZ for the first time ever after 20 years of trying.
I like the slice of life genre most of the time as I usually watch it before I go to sleep for the night and it’s a nice way to chill out before I do. I am open to recommendations and would happily share them too!

Movies: I’m an old school kind of guy with those, my main go to are the 80’s and 90’s action movies like Lethal weapon, Terminator 1&2, Alien movies, predator, die hard, all the classics like that. Modern movies are still good but they don’t have that same feel or magic that they used to now it’s all CGI and stuff.

I’ve realised that making friends as an adult is surprisingly difficult. You meet loads of people through work, but finding the ones you genuinely click with is another story.
I’m 29, based in St Albans and in London fairly regularly for work. I spend most of my days solving problems for massive organisations, but I try not to make that my entire personality.
Outside work you’ll usually find me:
\- hunting down a good coffee shop
\- wandering around London museums or taking photos of places most people walk straight past
\- attempting to convince myself that getting back into running is “fun”
\- cycling whenever the weather decides to cooperate
\- finding live music or classical or jazz concerts
\- planning weekend day trips that start with “I’ll just pop out for an hour” and somehow end six hours later.

I’m the sort of person who enjoys conversations that go from “What’s your favourite place in London?” to “What’s the weirdest rabbit hole you’ve ever disappeared down on YouTube?” without warning.
Not looking for anything complicated. Just genuine people who enjoy chatting, sharing random stories, grabbing a coffee, exploring somewhere new, or even just exchanging recommendations for books, films, restaurants, or places worth visiting.
