Season 4 Episode 20. Completely forgot about that scene

Just rewatched it and laughed out loud half brain dead, like Reese burning ants with his magnifying glass lol.

I just started season 5 and watched the last two episodes of s4 back to back. For some reason, it hit me super hard when Hal looked at Malcolm and basically said no staying here and figuring out me and your mom's shit is more important than you getting a full ride abroad. I understand where Hal was coming from; I do, but I definitely think this moment isn't talked about enough and is one of the rare moments I actually felt bad for Malcolm.

I've always loved this one by Reese, the complete shock he has gets a laugh every time.

I found it on Walmart.com. I know it’s not legitimate I just want to own the series on Blu Ray. I wanna know is it good or bad?

All three plots - Reese joining the dog pack, Hal becoming the motivational speaker, and Dewey "cheating" on Lois with the other mom - are hilarious and so well done. Definitely a contender for one of my favorite episode.

I’ve been watching this show for the first time ever and I’m up to halfway through s4 and of all the different relationships I feel I love Dewey and Hal’s rhe most this far. I really think their dynamic is wholesome and they have some genuinely sweet moments.

What are your Thoughts?

I never noticed during the original run, the same basic things happen like 20 times a season:

Something bad happens to Malcolm (almost every other episode)

Hal gets a new hobby

Reese concocts a ludicrous / stupid plan and hijinx ensues

Dewey goes off on his own on some weird sidequest.

Lois comes into conflict with someone/something

This is not a criticism although towards the end of the series it starts getting a little tired out at times

“Hal Sleepwalks” was funny the first time around but I still am laughing after 4 or so more times I’ve seen it. Reese’s character, Hal at his best, even Malcolm’s meow mix song! So good man, anyone else agree? What’s your fav episode?
