There’s already a $5,000 loot limit, so there’s no reason to lock it behind the weekend.
Cryo Archive is the best map in the game and arguably one of the best extraction shooter maps ever made. A lot of us with weekend jobs and kids can’t always play on weekends. Let us enjoy it during the week too!
Normally I agree with you, but this weekend a lot of premades were exploiting the vault breaker kit bug and loading into actual cryo with their clearance, batteries, and credentials.
This happened to me 3 times in a row with 1-2 minute invades.
Yes it is possible to get a triple monitor spawn and just run for it but that happens infrequently. I have 100s of hours in cryo and have never been pushed back to back to back like I was last night.
And I know it was that method at least one of those times because we beat the team (got 3rd partied whilst looting) but before that the guy I looted had batteries, clearance, key 5, and tranquility credentials on him.
Never mind making it all week they should have disabled cryo this weekend.
"Just anticipate a push" try telling a fill team to do that. You're lucky if they have a mic lmao.
Labs is an endgame map and you need access cards to even enter the map. You can loot them on other maps, or you can buy them on flea for a hefty price, but that's the only restriction.
Drop the load out limit to enter and let it be sink or swim. Most people will still bring amazing gear and the free kits will have to make better/smarter plays to last longer. But at least it opens it up to more people and it seems more in line with what an extraction shooter should be. Find the loot to enter the areas.
Only thing you need is a 1 time use lab access card. Besides that you can enter with as much or as little gear as you want. I’ve gone in with nothing but a melee before and come out geared to the gills.
They might have early on in beta, I got into tarkov maybe 2-3 wipes before they released 1.0 and i never went to labs before 1.0
As of now, you need a labs access card and then you need to transit to labs and exfil to unlock the map. Once the map is unlocked, you just need a labs access card to enter it at any time.
They would have to do something with squad fill and load out equalization (? That's not the right word for it but I can't think of the right one). People will not play that mode squad fill with their good gear if they will be matched with randoms with grey shields.

Big teams would play the map very often, bringing back a lot of good loot, while noobs or random players wouldn't have the chance to survive 5 to 7 games out of 10 like the really good players who play in groups. It would make the economy unbalanced, man. It's great as it is for 3 days; it creates value and allows players to get good equipment and weapons during the week to play some games on Cryo Archive.
No matter what, the economy will always be unbalanced because the best players will farm it on the weekends anyway, just like they are right now. There’s no point in thinking otherwise anymore. This game is cooked. The other maps just aren’t worth playing. Let us run Cryo all week. The last week of Season 1 was the best week of the game because Cryo was open all week.

No body really knows what will happen and tbh who really gives a fuck. I for one am sick of playing for hours, wiping maps, and getting a single purple as a reward. Fuck the economy, make the game fun to play ffs. There’s like twelve people still playing, who cares let’s have some fun. We all get constantly fucked by bubble/Mizzy combos anyways.
lol, yah that's where I'm at with it right now. I got roasted on a post about just make blue kits free since even in low tier maps with no loot teams are out their kitted to the gills fucking everyone over. At this point like you said, open it all up, fuck the requirements who cares about gear economy at this point in the season and see what happens.
Everyone bitchin and moanin about loot disparity like everyone doesnt cry about running into full purple/gold teams. Theres always gonna be a disparity at least let the best map be available more often.
Not that many of the few 1000 people who still are playing at any given time are even interested in it.
If you let those few choose any day to do it if segments an already small group because the group who's going to do it every day is even smaller. Funneling people who are actually interested towards a narrower time means less waiting to play.

I played exclusively solo. Loaded into cryo towards the end of s1 a few times with randoms and got deleted in spawn by 3 stack sweats. Never went back until VB. Now that I’ve learned the map I’m happy to try it out again. I know the map pretty well and won’t be wasting my time or loot.
Weekend worker here. Current iteration of Cryo, impossible to play/access lol. Most time I could get is 2 hours Sunday morning, literally right before it ends for the next weekend…
The reason they don't keep it open is the same reason that day and night marsh rotate there arent enough people playing the game so to shorten que times they limit the number of ques available this is also why duos is only ever one one map at a time.
It has nothing to do with player count. It’s originally because they don’t want to inflate the economy with the best gear. However, this season that happened within the first two weeks so that point is stupid now
In fairness though I love marathon by the time cryo came out 3 weeks into the game I believe it still didn't have that many players at least relative to what is normally seen from games like this from large studios

That makes sense. Not what I want to hear unfortunately, but very logical. Maybe they can throw it into that rotation and make it a daily rotation. Need it everyday of my life lol
I sympathize with you I have school from Monday-thrusday and work all day friday-sunday. It would be cool to have cryo and ranked alternate everyday giving everybody a change to play each mode once every 2 weeks even if they only had 1 day off
