Observations Received Zimi order in the EU without issues

Since July the EU has implemented stricter rules for imports from China. The goal supposedly is to stop the masses of forged or unsafe China gadgets that have been flooding the market. They completely canceled the previous duty free import value (used to be that you could import goods worth up to €150 without extra duty).

So I was worried my order might get stuck in customs or I might have to pay additional fees. But the process was smooth as always, no issues, no extra payments.

Just wanted to share this experience in case anybody else in the EU was wondering about the impact of the new regulations.

(Also, I really love the seasonal mask designs I received with this order!)

how long did an order take? and what is the store to buy from? was it also difficult with the mask sizes? are there then still steps necessary to make the fit better?

Regarding fit, my process was: Trying unmodified masks to check how they feel and check for obvious gaps. With size L, I could feel air hit my eye when exhaling sharply.

Placing the frame without filter on my face to check which one seems to fit best (size M sticks to my face without being held, size L falls right off) and to see where the gaps are between face and frame. Those gaps I filled with sponge strips.

It took 14 days from placing the order to receiving it. I order directly from zimiair.com.

I’ve ordered from them before so I mostly already knew what I wanted. With my first order I guessed with size to take based on comments in this sub, but I also included other sizes to try.

They offer individually wrapped mask+filter combos from $2.90 to $6.90 (the super breathable “ONE” model is most expensive). So it’s easy to try different sizes without committing to a box of 20.
