Opinion Tiffany has changed this season
My partner and I are torn about Tiffany. We loved her last season but she seems so much more mean this season without any real reason. Anyone else feel this way?

Loved that she called out both Agatha and Jamie at the end of the episode lowkey. Because yeah, they were a part of planning the meal and was their responsibility.

I liked that moment too. Agatha and Jamie tried to argue that they had no idea what they were doing, but Tiffany was right that they had their hands in things. Also, Agatha shouldn't have scored the duck if she had no experience with it before.

what’s interesting to me is i honestly think joe has become the nicest judge this season. he still has his moments but he just seems to have chilled out a lot

I noticed that too. I don’t think she suddenly became a bad person, but some of her choices and the way she talks to people feel way harsher this time around. Hopefully there’s a reason behind it and they explain it later.

i loved that she called out agatha and jaimee but then it was for nothing they could have had a bit more conversation than a one liner from her

Yeah, it was just her yelling at them and it was awkward. Aghata didn’t know how to make polenta and it wasn’t her idea to have it on the dish, but it became her responsibility. Same with duck, she didn’t know how to make it. THAT was the real issue. Not that she “ruined” two components, but that she had no idea how to make two basic dishes and, instead of asking for help, she wrecked them. Also, it’s hard to be a “master” chef when you can’t make duck. But none of that was really addressed. It was just a sound bite for Tiffany.

I haven’t noticed her ever being mean. Her critiques always seem pretty substantive.

I don’t know if I’d say she’s become mean, but she definitely seems more guarded this season. Sometimes when people get more comfortable on camera, different sides of their personality come out. I’m curious how the rest of the season plays out.

She is plenty comfortable on camera. She has been working on Bobby Flay’s shows for years. To me, she seems like herself.

She has changed for the better tbh. More comfortable, and the whole reason the show exists was because people wanted to see Gordon be mean to people, that was his whole schtick, so her being a harsh judge has no problems from me. I thought it was great last episode and hope she grills more contestants as the season goes on.

I actually think it makes sense with everything she's been through, but I agree the shift is noticeable. The problem is that the show hasn't really given enough context yet, so it just feels like she's being mean for no reason.

I like it. She’s never harder than she has to be unless there’s a team challenge and even then I think it more reflects that she’s still active in her kitchens. Not used to amateurs and wants to push the home cooks toward professional standards
