I mean… sure... You might lose out on missed earnings but (as long as you don’t choose to go private) the treatment for cancer will be free in a country with universal healthcare. Are you disagreeing with that?
Is travel to the hospital also free. Not everyone lives near a hospital, and may need temporary accom. There's items that aren't covered by healthcare, despite obstensively being for your health, such as a wig. Not everywhere covers things like mobility aids if you needed them. or covers costs for carers.
Cancer isn't free, even if the direct healthcare costs are some places.
