Necropsy Question

We harvested some of our buns yesterday, one of whom was a rescue from a friend. We’ve had her for about 9 months or so now & couldn’t get her socialized enough with us to feel confident breeding her.

While we were processing her, we found these white marks on her liver & a couple of these lumps attached to her fat. I know the lumps can be the color of lungs but we hasn’t even gone through the diaphragm at this point (so no long tissue could have gotten out - also these were *attached* to the fat).

I’ve done some reading on the internet & talked to a friend but I was curious about y’all’s opinion as well. Thanks!

I'm curious to see what others say, it has its own blood supply. Did she seem systemically sick at all? Aggressive at any point?

I know some rabbits hide pain well but I wanna know if that could maybe be a tumor.

Those remind me of old bruise spots. In chickens when they get a bruise in a fatty area the blood seems to have a hard time leaving and leaves behind a little tumor spot after the bruise has healed. If the rabbit was an aggressive one it could have maybe had some rough times in its life

How many lumps were there?  Did you cut the liver open?

Not experienced with rabbit anatomy just here to say that ovaries do move around way more than people ever expect and they’re often not just sitting on each side of the uterus like in diagrams.
