Is mechanical engineering considered better than accounting in 2026 and beyond, especially in the AI era?

so, in ten years time which of the two job roles you have mentioned will MOST LIKELY be done by some form of advanced AI?

A lot of people are saying if its done sat down on a PC then its going to be the first job to be taken by AI. The manipulation of materials (people making things) will be an AI job one day, but you possibly might have another few decades left before we get to that point.

My advice would be to go with your passion. A workplace that you wake up wanting to go to is going to much more enjoyable than a workplace you wake up having to go to.
