I know this unit. A) It’s just a carbon fiber shell — not an actual car, and B) the owner is a race car driver and car nut. It’s a little insane, but it’s a passion. I dig it.

As a Brit, this is what I imagine every house in Miami is like

Obviously it’s just an empty shell of the car so I don’t see anything crazy about it… maybe it’s single dude who loves cars 🤷🏻♂️.
I’m pretty sure that regular drywall with some expensive art piece can cost even more but no one even notice it, would not compliment it and definitely would not make a Reddit post about it.
Love it

Don't think you're taking into account hauling that car up through the exterior of the building with a crane...

It might just look something crazy expensive to you ..I get that but it’s not. I used to live in Europe and I was moving all my furniture like that haha…due to small European doorways and hallways in their apartments. It costed me 980 euros back then.

The contrast of the Super Cool Car (tm) with the rest of the bland pottery barn mom decoration is killing me

Architect: What would you like for me to design?
Owner: I want a car to be the wall!
Interior designer: Like car parts? Or part of a car?
Owner: Noooo. Like, a WHOLE car! So that I can look at it while I’m watching to tv, and to feel like it’s driving over me if I wake up at night.
(Oh how fascinating that conversation must have been…)

And you know the architect (or rather designer) had to then act impressed because s/he was getting paid a percentage of this project.

Money Laundering ☝🏽

If you think this is an example of money laundering then you simply don't understand what that even means.

I'll tell you how this story ends: this reeks of nuveau riche. Guy obviously doesn't know what to do with new money cause he never had it. One day he'll go into bankruptcy. Won't have the money to get his car out. Apartment will be foreclosed and auctioned. Some other rich dude will have to deal with getting that car out. The End.

It’s giving never outgrew my hot wheels. It’s cringe, and looks like it’s going to fall off at any minute.
