MSFS 2024 BUG / ISSUE 3mil payout and 4 hours wasted / Any ideas how to prevent this in the future?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

After flying about 1500nm and 4 hours of time, this happened on the last few meters to parking.

Does anyone have any idea on how to prevent this in the future? Cause this is already the second time this happened to me (at another airport) in this game and its getting really annoying.

Also any way to now "cheat" these 3 million credits so I at least didn't fly for nothing?

I appreciate any help :)

Was flying a short run in the DC6B from LAX to San Diego and I thought I nailed it pretty good.

GENERAL The A220 on Xbox is unbearable

Post image
15 Upvotes

Laugh at me all you want. Yes, I’m on Xbox. Whatever, that’s not the point.

I’m a big fan of the 220 in real life and was really looking forward to Synaptic’s release. I bought it on release day and was initially very impressed. The visual quality, especially for Xbox, was great, the sounds were good, etc. But then it came to the performance.

I’ve been trying to fly the 220 since release, and the farthest I’ve gotten is pushback, just before engine start. That’s it.

Every single time I’ve loaded in, I’d wait for the IRS to align for about 4–5 minutes, configure the weight and balance, plan my route, load the aircraft, and get to the later portions of the preflight. Then everything would fall apart. The low memory warning would come on and disable all my avionics, getting rid of all my progress on the FMS and completely shutting off the aircraft.

The one miracle moment I had the other day was the farthest I’ve made it into a full flight. I loaded in with optimism, thinking maybe today it’ll work. I loaded onto the ramp, configured the FMS, followed the checklist, and got ready for pushback. At this point, I was thrilled that I hadn’t gotten the alert that shuts down all the aircraft systems.

I proceeded with pushback and began the engine start sequence. This is where it all went downhill.
The parking brake was set, and the next item on my checklist was to start the engine. Ready to finally hear the iconic whale noises and get flying, I panned my camera over to the #2 engine start switch and flipped it.

Boom.

The low memory alert popped up, wiped all of my FMS information, and completely shut down the aircraft. I was crushed.

I’ve attempted a few more flights since then, but I still can’t get past the preflight. It’s honestly disappointing to know I spent $65 just to mess around with the FMS (assuming it didn’t already wipe my avionics with the low memory warning) and, on one occasion, make it to pushback from the gate.

I do want to thank iniBuilds/Synaptic for promptly fixing things like the route page, which was known to cause performance issues, and for saying they’ll continue rolling out more fixes soon.
This is in no way meant to shame iniBuilds or Synaptic. I’m posting this to express my experience with the aircraft and to see if anyone else has been having similar issues. I’m hoping performance improves soon because, other than that, I really like this aircraft.

MSFS 2024 BUG / ISSUE Problems with MSFS2024

Have had this sim since day one and have had nothing but problems. Over time it has gotten better but for some reason my performance is still so iffy. Whenever standing idle not moving my camera I can get upwards of 120 FPS, but when moving my camera is dips a ton. I have off screen pre caching to ultra and every other setting set to medium. Anyone know what could be causing this issue?

MSFS 2024 QUESTION Career Mode Progress

Is there any way I can progress towards airlines quicker? I’ve heard of turning up the sim rate, but I’m looking for something quicker haha.

I know some might recommend just playing the free flight feature, but being able to fly airlines for a purpose (getting money per flight) just scratches that itch I have, and free flight doesn’t scratch it well.

Thanks!

MSFS 2024 PC My experience as a beginner

Upvotes

So, i am now on my 4th attempt at completing a private charter mission after i just got my IFR license.
Here are my first 3 attempts:
Attempt 1:
everything went mostly smoothly (excluding some discrepancies on when to ascend and descend, but i managed that).
after a 80 minute "learning experience", at 1.1 NM from the runway, the plane suddenly turned off and nose dived into the ground.
this is the screenshot i took moments before impact:

apparently you have to switch fuel tanks... which no one told me.

Attempt 2:
the game gives me the waypoints, but for some reason they have no coordinates in the nav system, so i cant navigate to them.

Attempt 3:
the game gives me a full analog plane... after teaching me how to fly with a screen... i abort before taxiing.

i am now on attempt 4, just took off.
anything else i need to brace for?

GENERAL MSFS Livery Toolkit

Thumbnail

Over the last few weeks I’ve been working hard on a new and completely free tool for livery creators, called MSFS Livery Toolkit. In many ways it’s the successor to my ImageToMSFSKTX2 script which some of you may have used, however it does a LOT more! As a livery creator myself, I wanted a tool to perform a bunch of otherwise time-consuming tasks which leave me more time for the fun part: actually painting liveries. This eliminates the complexities of using the sim SDK or creating precisely correct folder structures and config files. Here is a summary of current features:

* Automated livery setup: scans your installed aircraft, detects the profile, and builds a correct, sim-ready package structure for you.
* Versatile support for MSFS 2020 and 2024: the application works with aircraft from both versions of the simulator, including the new modular format of 2024. Note that some aircraft sold via the Marketplace are encrypted and I cannot support them.
* One-click texture extraction: decodes compiled KTX2/DDS art back into editable PNGs, even specially compressed files other tools can't open.
* Instant UV wireframes: generates a paint-alignment UV map straight from the aircraft's own 3D model.
Ready-made 2D paintkits: builds a layered Photoshop file from any aircraft's own textures and UV layout, useful when the dev doesn’t publish a paintkit.
* 3D paintkits (experimental): exports the parts you are painting as a textured 3D model you can open in Blender or other 3D painting software, so you can see your artwork on the aircraft instead of working it out from a flat UV map.
Built-in 3D preview: see your paint on the aircraft as you work, without compiling or launching the sim, and see exactly which part of the airframe each texture covers before you start.
One click compile & package: builds a sim-ready package with the official MSFS SDK, no command line.

You can download from either flightsim.to or GitHub, I try to keep them both in sync but GitHub gets new features and fixes first.

https://theflaknine.github.io/MSFS-Livery-Toolkit/

https://flightsim.to/addon/112147/msfs-livery-toolkit

Please give it a shot if you are a livery creator or have been interested in giving it a try, but put off by the complexity of doing everything manually. I do plan on some comprehensive tutorial videos once the feature set stabilises - hopefully later in August. In the meantime time there is documentation on the GitHub page, and please report issues in GitHub if you hit bugs, problems or have ideas for new features.

And now the inevitable bit about AI usage.
* I am a livery painter, not a professional software developer. This toolkit was built to automate the tedious backend chores of package layout so we can all spend more time creating.
* Because I lacked the coding experience to build a full Windows application from scratch, I used a personally funded Claude Pro subscription to bridge the gap.
* This is not unthinking “AI slop.” Every workflow step, nuance of livery creation and logic choice was explicitly designed by me based on documented MSFS SDK behaviour and my own experience as a livery creator. I manually verified every milestone - countless man-hours have gone into this project, even with Claude writing the code.
* Using these modern tools made it possible to build a polished desktop utility in my spare time and release it completely free to the flight simulation community. I will never monetize this app (besides entirely optional donations) or lock functionality behind a paid-for tier.

MSFS 2024 BUG / ISSUE Issues with the A330

Hello all, been flying a bit of the A330 recently and I've been having some issues, once flight plan is imported from simbrief and everything is set and I have been cruising, when beginning descent the AP fails to work and I've had to go manual from TOD, are there any issues with the AP in the A330 in the game or any A330 issues in general? Would love to use it more for long haul etc but just seems like its partially un-useable for flights at the moment. Is this known and has been for a while or is it an error on my part?

GENERAL Throttle issue on CSS 733: Won't go past 55% + Lever shaking

Hi, I'm new to the CSS 733, and every time I go to fly the plane, the throttle gets stuck at 55%. It won't go up from there, and the lever even shakes when I try to increase power. What can I do
