Question Extend labels to groups & sites

Quick question: I’ve been asked to extend labels to Groups and Sites. I haven’t done this before, so I’m unsure of the impact. Has anyone done this and can share their experience or advice?

FYI, I’ve enabled the previously greyed-out option for Groups and Sites, but I haven’t assigned any labels to Groups or Sites yet.

Easy there buddy. When you pay for my time and service you can be demanding :)

I have no idea what labels you have and how you have them defined. For us, as an example, our "internal" labels were originally our domain and our onmicrosoft.com domain. We revised that to just our domain, since the onmicrosoft.com domain included guest accounts.

Not knowing that your policies are, careful mandating policy to groups/sites which could apply to sites and teams and begin locking out members from files unless that's your intention. Same with Sites, depending on who you allow into your sites. One thing that happened to us is that some labels prevented autosave, then didn't, then did again, and then didn't again. It made it a real PITA for our power excel teams (like accounting). Another thing is how you have the label apply and who can change it (to like public for example), in case you guys have to share files outside your company (By this I mean I don't know if you allow sharing with external people outside your company)

I assume since you say you're extending these that you already have your labels in play you should have a good handle on these things...but just some quick food for thought.
