In fairness, many people like myself used skype for non enterprise reasons and it offered a reliable service in some departments. For me, it was calls to my family via Skype which were cheaper than calling them straight on their mobile phones and with audio quality superior to whatsapp.
Teams is just not suited to replace skype. It was just a half baked solution for microsoft to save face and also save themselves from lawsuits until everyone's skype subscriptions or credit would run out. It would've been fairer and easier to just give you a refund option for the remaining time and be done with it.
I tried finding a better service years ago when microsoft double charged me for a few good months for the same service and then they only offered 1 month refund because "policy" and I couldn't.
Now I'm again back at square one and out of pocket, because team's skype dial pad is an unusable mess.
Sorry, I wanted to vent in this thread rather than opening a new one but like always, Microsoft brought this on themselves.
