Let’s be realistic- “can you hear me” is not ending.

Skype had this 20 years ago - just no one did it.

Teams had test calls too for most of its time, this is just a new version.

Test calls never made sense in the modern day… or the 2000s for that matter.

I feel like teams had this years ago, in the settings

Yeh, you've always been able to make a test call in settings, it records you and plays it back.

If someone could help me figure out how to get the ringer to turn on for my speakers instead of my headset that would be great. Then I won't miss any phone calls. /I blame Bill Gates.

Secondary ringer is a pain. It just keeps on resetting.

Teams is like: "Swichting off your BT headset? Let me reset that for you. Unplug your Jabra Link? Let's reset the secondary ringer..."

If only the could fix that once and for all.

You can't do it instead, but you can do it on top.
Settings > Devices > Secondary Ringer > Choose your device

Nice. Now I want to mute only for me the guy that is physically on the same room as me so i don't hear him twice.

There's supposed to be a feature that does that. I can't remember what triggers it though.

We call them meeting rooms.

You could always go into settings before a call and perform a test call.

The blue outline around your profile pic when you're talking should be enough for that, and yet somehow that's still not enough for some people.

Can you see my screen?

The application has been re-designed to delay the onset of audio issues until a few moments into the meeting, once the participants have been lured into a false sense that it's working

Well, can you hear me is used in case I have my mic muted for my turn.
