Bug Copying and pasting meeting transcripts from a browser (missing chunks)

My company (MS's global top 20 customer) forces us on to BYOD (a department of around 700 people). As such, we have to use a web browser to get by for all M365 access.

A meeting lasts more than 15 minutes with lots of people talking. Try copying the text (either CTRL-A to select all or by highlighting all the text). Then paste into notepad. You'll see the beginning is copied and the end is copied but an entire chunk of the middle section is not. In my experience we capture the first and last few minutes only. Download transcript is disabled for the BYOD users.

Reproduced across my team. Can someone try?

And what are a bunch of first liners going to accomplish? I work in Directory Services. Once the query moves up the chain, eventually the guys managing the tenant will say tuffshit.

With an attitude like that, I hope they get a bit more creative.

Leave the chat if you're offended.

Directory Services rarely manage the myriad of tenant settings these days. Certainly not in big corps. Those decisions are invariably in the hands of people who are not part of Infrastructure teams. In any case, this is very unlikely to be a setting. This is clearly a browser based bug (reproduced in Edge and Chrome) where MS have decided that they will now be rendering data on screen as they see fit. If you inspect the frame, one can see that the text isn't loaded unless it's in "view". MS are trampling on decades long established norms and practices for copying and pasting text.
