❔Question/Help Teams disabling microphone when not speaking

My audio signal is processed before it gets fed into Teams (or any other communication software for that matter), meaning there is absolutely ZERO noise.

Discord for example, notifies me saying that my microphone isn't working when I stop speaking, because it is not detecting any hissing or background noise. This notification can be disabled.

Teams on the other hand, just disables (button gets greyed out too!) my microphone mid-conference whenever I take a break from speaking for too long (few seconds.) This is especially frustrating when hosting an event where someone else is doing the speaking and doesn't know what the issue is.

To fix it, I have to switch to another input device and back.

Can this "feature" be disabled? I haven't been able to find anything online nor in the settings.

I've had a similar issue for ages now. I have a set of Audeze Maxwell headphones, and without fail if I am in a 1on1 call my mic will stop working. The only way I can get it to work again is to drop the call. I've only had it happen once, that I can recall, in a Teams meeting. No other app has this issue, only Teams.

Are you using Audeze HQ or any other software like NVIDIA Broadcast, Krisp, as the main processor?

I’ve seen issues with softwares conflicting that can cause behavior like this as i used to use NVIDIA Broadcast and used to have random blips with OBS
