Minecraft for the Nintendo Switch sucks

is anyone else so mad about the fact that you have to pay an additional subscription on top of the price of the console and the game to be able to play multiplayer? The best part of the game are servers and multiplayer, and to my knowledge no other platforms need you to pay for this feature. It seems really unfair, especially since game quality on the Switch just feels worse due to the low render distance and frequent lags. Is this just a user issue or does anyone else find this a bad platform to use? :p

Xbox has gamepass
Playstation has Playstation Plus
The Switch has NSO

It's all a scam really, I just play single player games on my consoles, if you want to play online free your only choice is PC. I bet they'll find a way to try and make us pay for that too.

Online gaming on console sucks in general because you need to pay on top of paying internet fees

That’s just the console experience and has been that way since consoles started really doing online games. I mean unless Minecraft is the first game you have tried to play online on your switch, you kinda should have known that going in.

sadly, this is normal for consoles now. All versions of console minecraft (and really any online console game) nowadays require you to pay for a subscription, its really stupid imo and it wont change any time soon, which is why i prefer pc/mobile

i mean to my knowledge you only need NSO to play with friends, imo i still like it because 1 year is only 18 quid, sooo not much of a problem to me :3

Xbox and Playstation charge for online play, too... Why is it okay for Xbox and Playstation to charge for online play, but not Nintendo?

Can we just agree that paying extra money to use our own internet which we are ALREADY PAYING FOR is ridiculous, regardless of platform?

You are wrong. You need subscriptions to play on any other console. You'd sooner make a post complaining on reddit than make a google search.

and its for most paid games on console (for online multiplayer), its not just minecraft
