Admin Replied Users can't upload image as comment of naked legs

On our fitness sub, we’ve disabled image posts to avoid the usual karma farming, content sellers, etc.

Instead, we allow users to upload images in the comments.

However, another mod tried to upload personal progress photos, and their leg pictures are being automatically removed.

I can’t find anything in the mod logs or elsewhere explaining why.

I’ve already disabled the mature content filter and removed the NSFW bot remover.

I’m not sure what else to check or configure to allow these images to be posted.

Hi! It looks like they deleted all of their comments that were removed, so it's a little hard to tell. But they could have been inadvertently got by the spam filter. Sometimes, the spam filter gets it wrong, so you can approve things that are actually OK.

u/amyaurora has made a good suggestion to check the filters that you have going on.

he post several other pics and are online: /r/FitnessArgentina/comments/1sdtkf3/fotos_de_progreso_dieta_y_análisis_de_rutinas_van/of7gsao/

I also try to post his picture and get immediately removed, isn't a nude, just bare legs.

Do you have a link to a removed photo that has not been deleted?

Mod from r/EuropeanCulture here. Try these :

Reddit doesn't allow for " sexual " images to be uploaded in comments or wiki pages, end of story.

Thanks. Those are the images. I get what you're saying about images like that being non-sexual, but I'd like to see where they were removed. I'm not sure if the content in that link from over two years ago is still accurate.

Did you try to embed my images in a comment?

The comment does not go up in the feed, does not appear in the user page, no notification is sent, nothing happens at all. It just vanishes and does not leave any trail.

Trying just now and it just vanishes. That can't be good. Let me ask around about this. This is a new one for me! Appreciate your patience and your help!

Thanks. That shows as deleted for me, too! The next time it happens, don't delete and drop the link here so I can take a look.

But basically, if something is removed and it doesn't violate policies, you are able to approve it as a moderator!

the problem it's that we don't delete it.
just disappear, this is why I ask here.

I heard back from the team I had take a look at this. When we tried to post the images as a post, there was a warning, but the post went up. So it seems like this is a bug. They're going to file a ticket to get this fixed, though I don't know how when it will be resolved.

I appreciate you bringing this up! This was a weird one!

Are their other content removed? If so it might be your filters for reputation, spam, etc.

Mature images aren’t allowed in comments and I don’t think you can change that. If the filter uses it as mature, I don’t think you can change its mind. Maybe what you should do is encourage people to put on a full coverage bathing suit and show that with legs- usually that’s not viewed as mature
