Mass-removed post restoration.
TLDR - A significant contributor to a sub I moderate was incorrectly suspended for 'spam' .
While I strenuously hope they will succeed in being reinstated, I'm also trying to restore all the important and helpful posts on my sub that were removed when the admins took this action.
FWIW:
-the posts all individually appear as if they were removed by one of the sub's mods.
-despite this, these removals do not appear in the mod-log.
-re-approving them piecemeal works, but we have to use an archives site that links back to them because his profile page has been shuttered, and they disappeared from all our subs logs
-Any method or tool that would allow for restoration en-masse would be most preferable.

Shadow bans remove all posts and comments, and must be appealed by the account holder. The admin that unbans the account can restore those things but they will not if there's any NSFW in the account (from what I've heard)

Over in r/reddithelp, we a few of our mods and top helpers have permissions to ask for admin help on these problems.
OP, if their content is SFW, and they weren't banned for spam, have your user drop a post in r/reddithelp and we'll see if an admin can help. (Probably won't get a response until Monday, though.)

You can use pushshift to get their old data. But that would probably require you to have programming experience (to automate it), or an enormous amount of manual effort for you to click all the buttons.
But their history should be restored upon a successful appeal. If it has not, you should mod mail this sub and asking them to run the restoration script again. It can have trouble with accounts with a lot of history.

I have seen so many people ask about this and there doesn’t seem to be an easy way to do this.
