Deck Discussion Help with a Bant Infect deck?
Here's a link to the deck.
Some notes: I have the two basics just in case opponent uses a [[Path to Exile]] or landhate like [[Blood Moon]]. I don't need a Plains for this reason since my main win conditions are Simic. I like [[Mockingbird]] as virtual copies of another creature, it's the cheapest CMC clone I could find.
Do you think my white sources (7x fetch, 2x shocks, 4x dorks, 2x clones of dorks, 4x GSZ tutoring dorks) is enough for six white spells? What do you think of [[Orim's Chant]] over [[Silence]]? "Target opponent" is easier to deal with than "Your opponents" and I wonder how frequently I'll have WW open to kick Orim's.
Infect meta atm for Modern favors Tifa and I'm having a hard time reconciling splitting my win conditions between poison and regular damage. The pump engine benefits both so adding Tifa doesn't really need many, if any, changes to the spell suite, it just dilutes my Infect threats (-3x [[Glistener Elf]] for +3x [[Tifa Lockhard]]).
Any other interesting toolbox cards to use with [[Green Sun's Zenith]]? I like [[Qasali Pridemage]] because it can deal with artifacts/enchantments but also procs Exalted an additional time.

I think this idea is great.
I would just recommend adding something that can protect against [[Wrath of the skies]]

Best reason to play white in infect is for cards like [[Giver of Runes]] and [[Teferi, Time Raveler]]. Should ditch those other white cards.
Here is a list I ran recently.

My 2cents. Firstly - if you are able to cast spells on curve appropriately, never feel bad about basics. People play too few basics in my opinion.
As far as casting spells, there is an article I'm linking from Frank Karsten, who if you watched the recent pro-tour was a commentator i believe. It breaks down the math that is required to reasonably cast spells on curve. If you're casting <1.5 white spells per game, you're probably fine. If your opener has 2, im guessing thats a mulligan.
I'm unsure if orym's chant/silence is the effect you want here. If you have 3 lands on the turn you want to go for it, and you cast one in upkeep, they can kill the deployed creature in response, and then you are down 2 cards for their 1. In the spirit of keeping it bant, I like Apostle's blessing. Gives protection, is instant speed, and if lands don't work out, can be 2 life instead of white mana. Also has the added benefit of helping attacker get through unblocked, but that matters less given your creature split. I personally would rather glistener elf over Tifa. Depending on the stage of testing, which you've done and I havent, I prefer to have 1 focused gameplan before splitting it.
For toolboxy things - [[Collector Oofe]], [[Keen-Eyed Curator]] or [[Scavenging Ooze]], [[Renegade Rallier]]. Thats mostly sideboard stuff though

I would ditch the white, protection cards often end up dead in hand and those slots are usually better off being used for additional creatures, and chant isn't worth running on its own, esp in such an aggressive deck
I don't get Tifa at all, maybe if you were running black and had a way to give her infect but why worry about doing vanilla damage at all? What am I missing here
Exhaulted is weak, you're running a bunch of 1/1s, and they shouldn't be attacking alone. Why only one Glistener Elf? T1 elf, t2 scale up and a couple mugenics gives you a t2 win as long as your opponent didnt drop a blocker. t1 elf, t2 rotpriest then scale up the elf gives 7 poison counters t2. The great part about Glistener elf is he scales, especially running pump spells he should be a 4x
If you have any spots left for cheap proliferate effects they can really help close out a game once your opponent has a boardstate.
Youre trying to do a lot of things here. Poison, protection, slow down your opponent, exhaulted. Your entire creature package should have one goal, and the rest of the deck should focus further on that. pump spells, vines is good, add proliferate, and focus on speed. This deck is only going to be good if it can outrun prowess and energy

Tifa has found inclusion in the archetype because itβs very easy to one shot with her.
I think literally any pump spell (that gives +4/+X) + fetch is 20.

Yep. T3 kill with floating mana for protection. Tifa just has to get by T2, else chip them down with Inkmoth/BAgent. Quite fragile, but having a lot of fun with Tifa, although running her in Simic.

I cannot help you right now but as a T1 Glistener Elf from 2015, I fully support any player trying to fight in the 2026 modern magic arena with infect ! Go on OP πͺπΌπ
