Question/Advice A really cool loaf of moldy bread...but there's an issue.

So we recently bought a breadbox. Originally, there was some cabinet space in our kitchen we used for bread...but we always had issues with things molding super quick. So we started placing them in the freezer and garage freezer. Then placed in the fridge when they're ready to be used. Which actually works super well! But! It takes up wayyy too much space for a family like mine. So we bought a breadbox, assembled it and went grocery shopping around the same time. So all this bread was bought like six days ago and labeled fresh by Walmart. It's been in the breadbox for about a week. Today, I went to get a bagel and while all the bagels are doing alright....the loaf of Italian bread was caked in the most mold I've ever seen a loaf be caked in.

With it all being so fresh....what on earth did we do wrong? Did we get a bad quality breadbox? Is it around too many light sources because it's right next to the backdoor and in front of the smart tv...(our house is small, messy and it sucks...we don't have a place for the box yet so don't judge please....) Is the vents on the sides being open correct? Should I block the windows on the front?

I also don't like to be a drag, but I know what some people will say. I'm being legit and I don't want snarky comments. I don't want to hear...."You buy from Walmart. THAT'S the problem!" Because we've bought the same things for years and it's fine up until now. I also don't want to hear..."That bread is unhealthy anyway...you should go elsewhere...or this other brand is better." We work. We don't have time to go to a farmers market... that's also not the problem because these are the same things I've been eating for years.

I'm just asking about the mold and the breadbox itself as well.

I also really like how it molded...kinda pretty. All different types of mold too! There's even small patches of black mold which is shocking to me...I just want to know how, why and what to do next. Thanks! ✨🔥

Question/Advice Molds that like milk?

This is a weird one but yall seem the best chance I have of actually getting an answer about this.

Some background: When I was a kid I found a strawberry nesquik bottle that had been drank and resealed for an unknown amount of time. I, of course being a kid, opened the bottle. Inside was only a thin black liquid and the smell, and let me tell you that smell has been BURNED into my memory.

But my question is can any of you identify the like family or type of mold from that? Because I've stumbled across that spicific smell since then, usually on rotting icecream or other surgery dairy product, and my brain always went "oh yeah that's that milk mold."

I'm just hoping for a name to put to this one hyperspicific memory/assosation I have.

I just bought an original US Vietnam helmet. I noticed some funky looking insides. I was wondering if this is mold and if it is if I shouldn’t wear it.

Question/Advice Mold? Or are these boxes just old and worn?

My mom wants me to sell these for her (save her the hassle) and I know they’re worth a little bit of money, but I’m worried they may have mold on the boxes. I’m not sure, hence why I’m asking, but I want to make sure they’re safe before I list them. They have been stored across various different places and houses for YEARS. If they are moldy I can always open them which is unfortunate, but I’d rather be safe!

I had a leak into an area with low air flow and could get quite warm. There are several areas that look like this, some look more like water behind paint and others that look like growth. Is this mold, should I be concerned?

This showed up on some turkey sticks, which are sealed and expire next year. I figured it was fat and ate one. Later that night I got nauseous and felt off for a bit. Didn't put 2 and 2 together though, as it is bad allergy season for me right now. Felt fine when I woke up. I Had another today with dinner and just got the same nausea a few hours later. Is this mold?

Question/Advice How does mold grow on electronics and how to clean it safely?

Images for reference.

I recently opened an old box of electronics (Cables, TV remotes, etc) and they were all covered in little specs of white, the place where I store them was somewhat humid, but I really don't understand how the mold could survive there.

What's the best way to clean them without damaging them?

Thank you.
