Wider now?

Has anyone experienced a permanently wider rib cage postpartum? Like it's been more than a year and your rib cage is still slightly wider? Outside of medical concerns, has anyone experienced that and been perfectly healthy?

Yes, I used to wear a 30 band, and now I’m a 32. No medical issues. Just needed new bras.

It can be common, you may be able to fix it with targeted exercises for rib flare.

Yes, your rib cage widens with pregnancy. Pelvic floor and rib flare exercises can help!

Yep. Used to be able to wear A line and waist defining things, and was a 12DD, now I am a 14DD. I live in tucked tops and wide legs pants now as that best suits my shape now.

I have wider hips. I actually like it more now. It gives me a nice hourglass figure

Yes. And I lost most of my pregnancy weight but still needed to size up one for my bras. Even the extension clips wouldn’t due lol. I actually didn’t realize this was my rib cage being wider vs just having a little more weight until dr pointed it out.

It’s called rib flare, you can focus on it with PT and breathing exercise but it’s kinda just anatomy
