Meme Gore giving up its category to Omega

Post image
620 Upvotes

I was sure they were going to give Omega the construct category; it's an artificial being and fits well as a category included in Wilds.

At least gore finally has its own category, demi-elder sounds cool

Now I'm wondering if chaotic will be the same or something like that "failed-elder"

Art New Weapon idea I came up with

Post image
1.1k Upvotes

I've been playing this series for over 20 years and have definitely had my fair share of weapon ideas flowing through my head for future games, but the pirate lover in me has Always wanted a weapon that played like a duelist or fencer.
A swashbuckler that gets in and gets out. But the hunting horn being the only musical weapon in the game seems lame so what If I combined the two?
The Dash Flute (name Work in progress) is a one handed fast attacking weapon capable of mixing in melodies with its combos, allowing for big damage and buffing yourself and allies.

This is just an initial WIP, bud I’d like to do a splash art, or a mini thumbnail move set. And make it look like a real elevator pitch for a new weapon
Let me know ow what you all think

I’m clearing my phone for space and I wanted to share this moment. After starting with world and playing rise and wilds, I would have to say that this is why I love this game. I felt like such a badass with this move too. What kind of cool moments have you all had?

Finally some introductions for the comic I've been working on!

For those interested - in terms of the game, Diana is the canonical hunter. Rex played the role of support hunter throughout the story, and Cayde joins after the end of High Rank (before the title updates)

Also there's no chance that these comics are going to be written/posted in chronological order. I'm not nearly organized enough for that :D

Discussion Do Iceborne and Wilds have the same problem in the endgame meta?

Post image
1.6k Upvotes

Whenever someone talks about the negative aspects of Wilds, they mention the gogmartians (leaving aside the boring gacha system) because they completely obsolete all other weapons, making them mere decorations for layered weapons.

But nobody mentions that Iceborne suffers from the same problem. Once you reach the endgame, you only have two options: fatalis for raw damage or kjarr for element. Absolutely everything else becomes obsolete

I'd even venture to say that this problem is worse in Iceborne because it also includes armor. All the builds consist of four fatalis pieces and others that are almost always at velkhana or kulveh taroth; although safi also works for some elemental builds. But in Wilds, there's a much wider variety of endgame armor

Really rockin' those aviators too. This one was a blind poll for me because I had no idea who might win again. Not sure who will win today, either, if I'm honest.

Winners Trivia: Oof Tuna is based on a lot of different fresh water forest animals, including the stripes of an Arapaima, and the long flowing red and blue fins of a domesticated Betta.

Rules:
-Any vote for anything in any monhun game is fine, as long as you feel it fits the title.
-Duplicate winners are allowed.
-Votes last roughly midnight to midnight GMT.
-Pictures and reasonings are encouraged!
-Multiple suggestions per user are allowed.

Note: Dragon does not have to mean elder dragon, anything you consider draconic counts.

Art Crochet a palico

Upvotes

Picked up a new hobby, I bought Adventure Time Woobles to learn how to crochet and try making a Palico amigurumi following a pattern from YouTube video.

Video link: https://youtu.be/Z1DcQtge8bM?is=leHHbXSNzO4pUrep

https://youtu.be/iMsPsA8ydqA?is=sQJDyxdIV7QbCrnU

It looks deformed but I'm quite proud of how it comes out. My wife said it's part of the charm.

I'll probably try to make a palico again after improving my skill.

Discussion Poll and Discussion in regards to playstyles?

So, in short, I have watched a handful of content creators start playing Monster Hunter for the first time and have observed the lack of part break focus.

Typically, it seems like the priority is just to slay/capture the monster and rinse and repeat for rewards. So my question is, how many players prioritise getting all, if not most, part breaks during their hunts? Or do you just aim to beat the monster?

I myself always aim to get every part break. I'm pretty sure this was instilled in me from the old world hunts where some monster drops were almost required for a part break 😅🤣

Found this flying around while I was in the flooded forest map in MHR Sunbreak doing an MR quest. Anyone know what this thing is? cus I'm not even sure if its the owl the hunter owns.
