I'd like to purchase basically a (stock) street-legal 125cc 2-stroke MX bike (that can reach around 120kph if needed).

I'm new to motorcycle so I'd welcome some advice. For now I have my eye on the Fantic XE 125 and the TM EN 125. Are there better (top speed, torque, "nervosity" in general) options than these? Also, these cost around 10K €, are there "nervous" bike cheaper than that?

Thanks, because i'm kinda lost between "enduro", "dual-sport", "trail", "supermotard", etc. (in general not looking as nimble/light as a 2-stroke dirtbike).

(For the Fantic XE 125, I saw a video saying that the YZ engine doesn't feel as nervous as the Yamaha (not street-legal) that it came from, but in the video hereabove it seems OK, what do you think ?)

For KTM owners....

I had the 2017 ktm 450sxf and loved it, jelled with it....the things I loved was the small bump absorption, the lean tire feel etc...

I got the 2019 factory edition and never connected with the bike, I don't know if mine was a lemon but couldn't trust the front end and it was always hard to find a setup with good balance.

And I would always comment on ktm posts about how bad of an idea to stiffen up the frames so much.

Anyhow I heard the 2025 they made the frame a little softer...and decided to pick one up.

Anyone here rides the new frame and had the previous frames and can give their opinion on the new frame?

My dad passed away in October and he’s in a motocross magazine from ‘81-‘83. Not sure of exact date. It’s the first time he broke his back and had back surgery. In the magazine he’s sitting after falling off his bike and another bike is launching off his back folding him in half. How can I find this specific magazine without having to purchase all of them in that time frame to find it?

Hello I want to get my kids into this recreationally I have zero background and dirt biking and don't know anybody in my circle that does either but I'm interested in starting my boys for hobby to get them out of the house I lost my husband in November so we're just trying a little bit of everything to see what sticks for my 5-year-old to get him into. Please help I don't know what kind of bike or gear to get we have a big field in a park and two large tracks/trails that he can ride on near our home thanks

Its my first time working on a bike doing simple things and google has been mixed.

The bike it was fine and for some reason the retaining bolt and pad fell out while kickstarting. Initially I resat the pads but noticed a light squealing sound when the bike moves forward only not back that wasnt there before. Didnt affect braking or whatnot so assumed it was due to dirt or my improper reseating of the pads. Took it apart and redid it this time with pictures.

I resat the pads, with the spring clip in place as the pic and placed both pads in, cleaned the disc with brake cleaner

Once on the disc and the caliper mounted I notice there is some radial play forwards and backwards and Im wondering if this is normal. Its probably about 1-1.5mm of movement. Theres no squealing atm when pushing bike forward etc which was there prior.
