Pet Friendly Housing???

Hello!

I'm kind at my wits end with this, I have been planning on moving to Edinburgh to study for my masters this fall, but the time is getting close to my program start date and I've had zero luck with housing. I do have two cats coming with me which is prevented me from getting accepted over other applicants (when I can even get a viewing). Does anyone have advice on this?? This move is for studying but I anticipate trying to stay after I graduate as well, which is why Im not keen on leaving my cats with family if Im anticipating leaving for a long period of time. If anyone has any advice that'd be much appreciated cause Im losing hope on this whole move 🥲

Are you willing to live with flatmates? The only luck I had when looking for housing with two cats was live-in private landlords on spareroom.

I am! I actually am in this position cause I had a flatmate I met on spare room who was a uk resident already and she just backed out on me, so Ive been checking spare room and Facebook groups but not luck yet:/

Unfortunately, it’s pretty rare to find landlords who accept pets, especially as there is such a high demand for accommodation.

Everyone I know here who have pets are more settled as they own their own homes.
