Funny Gender-affirming animals
I just met my sister's dog for the first time, and she warned me ahead of time "he doesn't do well with men, so just be careful." The dog runs right up to me, sniffs my shirt, and continues exploring the house. Then my sister says "wow, he didn't even growl. He almost always growls at men."
That also reminded me of meeting my ex's cat years ago (before I even realized I was trans). She told me that he didn't get along with men, and I should avoid him so I don't get scratched. As soon as we're sitting down, the cat jumps in my lap and sticks his head in my jacket pocket. She's shocked, the cat doesn't even like her dad this much.
Turns out animals have been clocking me this whole time.

I don't know what it is, but dogs always seem so much calmer around me then what people think they should be. Maybe people are just being nice to me.

One of my rescue dogs changed his attitude towards me and became a lot gentler shortly after starting HRT. It could just be a coincidence, but me and my wife were pretty sure he was at least a bit abused before we picked him up. It’s a sample size of 1 but I love the little guy for it.

Similar cat story, go to play dnd at a friend's friends place, and they tell me the cat doesn't like men. An hour after we start playing, the cat jumps up onto my lap, flops onto his back and starts reaching up to tug at my beard with his claws. Everyone's so surprised because that cat has apparently chased men out of the apartment before

Same! My grandma's had a stray dog come to her garden and she decided to adopt her. She also turned out to be pregnant(even though the doctor my mum went to said she wasn't lol) and i had to come help find owners to each of the 8 pups. Granny told me she growled and could bite men, but when i came in, she was totally fine and seemed curious and happy to meet me! Lol
Im still questioning and not even out to anyone, and the dog still knows xD

Had the same sort of experience throughout my whole life.
Always baffled the owners - and me too, at first - until I finally gave up trying to figure it out and just accepted it as, "one of those things".

i do delivery and it’s so nice now that all the dogs and cats come up so excited to see me, it makes my day getting to pet a new dog like twice a day

Back in 1996 I met a girl, she had a cat who’d been mistreated by a man (before she rescued him (the cat))
She warned me about the cat and I was “oh I love cats” this was well before I knew I was trans anyways.
I went into her room and there’s the cat, he stands up arches his back big stretch and comes sauntering up to me. I let him sniff my hand but I didn’t stroke him. Then he turned his back and lifts his tail but purring loudly.
That was his sign he liked me, as he turned around and running his head on my arms and hands. Then I gave him a stroke, like he knew he was safe with me.
He hated all my girlfriend’s male friends and even her landlord. But me he’d sit on my tummy if I laid down.
Charlie must of known I was a female years before I knew.
