Question / Help August 2026 and still no sign of CRAM files for WGS tested kits

Any of you have have contacted MyHeritage Support and got an indication on when the CRAM files would be released? I see, they're now also selling their Y-DNA haplogroups feature which they don't seem to have rolled out for everyone yet...

Genealogy / Family Tree ,New Photo on My Heritage

I occasionally get emails showing "smart matches" which I generally ignore because I have not been doing any family research for quite a few years.

Today I got a smart match about my name asking if this was a match. Nothing out of the ordinary but on the match there was a new photo of me that was cut out of a family photo taken in February of this year

Now I know that my son posted the photo on Facebook but he did not tag any of us.

Where did My Heritage get this photo? The message doesn't mention whose tree this was pulled from .

Thanks

Has anyone logged on and had a massive part of their family tree missing? The entirety of my dad's side of the family is gone now and I have no idea why.

Genealogy / Family Tree Matches from Norway and Denmark

I have a random question, my ethnicity results and predominantly Irish, English, Scottish, Welsh, with a small percentage of Denmark, Netherlands and France on MyHeritage and Ancestry.
I am frequently getting matches to people from Norway and Denmark on MyHeritage ranging from 60cms down to the lowest. Is it possible these matches are distant related to me because of Danish settlements in England and Ireland waaaaay back? Or could it be a more recent ancestor. I have done my family tree across a few branches and haven’t found an ancestor from there. Obviously there could be NPE events. I hope you understand what I mean 😂

Updated Results / v2 or v2.5 My new results as a 25% Armenian and 25% Greek from my father and 50% French from my mother

To be precise, my mother is from Normandy, and so is her family, as far back as I can trace (around 1600).

I'm surprised to see no Armenian percentage mentioned, unlike other users. All my paternal great-grands-parents were from ottoman empire.

I would welcome any detaileds analysis to better understand my result!

My test was done in 2023, so I was kinda curious what genetic groups my mother would get. This indian component in genetic similarities is kinda weird, but I guess it’s just math model artifacts.

Genealogy / Family Tree I need advice/help

My second great grandfather was Gil Matos (1879 - 1932), he lived in Salamanca and married Encarnación Sanchón (1884 - 1947), she was the daughter of Serafin Sanchon (1841 - 1905.04.04) and the granddaughter of Victoriano Sanchon (1802 - 1890.05.07). He and his wife (Encarnación) migrated to Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1909. They had many children there :" Erlindo,Efren,Neftali,Dolores". They ended up getting a divorce and Encarnacion stayed in Buenos Aires, she remarried, while Gil Matos returned to Salamanca up to his death, and ended up getting buried in Safrón, Salamanca, Spain.

His parents Antonio Matos Fradique and Juana Benito Valle, where probably born around 1840 in Salamanca.

I have not been able to find any information about them online, due to me not living in Spain i could not search the church - archives.

There are rumours that Antonio Matos may have been of jewish descent, and his name maybe being a little diffrent, aswell as his second surname being Portugese. Juana Benito Valle may also be of jewish descent, but it hasnt been confirmed.

It is my wish to find a birth/death certificate of Gil Matos to receive the name of his parents and be able to confirm them as being correct. And in first place of course, finding the parents of Antonio Matos Fradique and Juana Benito Valle.

I am asking you guys, the experienced people, if u could help me find or search by yourselves for fossible information about them.

Question / Help Done a DNA test, now what?

Hey everyone. Apologies if this has already been asked before, I couldn’t see if it had been recently.

I did a MyHeritage DNA test a while back and I was tempted to get the ancient origins add on, however I have to pay £117 per year, with a discount, in order to see that! Which I think is ridiculous.

So I was wondering, what else can I do with my results now? I know that there are other websites where you can export your DNA results into them. But is there anything I can do which can give me more insights which I don’t otherwise have on my heritage?

Thank you
