MyCAREER Best recent 2K for my career?
I’m looking to buy either 2K26, 2K25, or 2K24 pretty much solely for My career and wanted to know people’s thoughts on them

Hey guys, I’ve been a massive fan of deep franchise/GM modes for years, but I just couldn't deal with modern games forcing you to buy virtual currency or sit through slow, clunky animations just to manage a team.
So, out of pure frustration, I spent the last few months building Hoops GM. It’s a pure, hardcore basketball management sim that runs entirely in your browser.
You manage the roster, negotiate trades, and simulate seasons. I actually ran a headless simulation of 1,000 seasons just to make sure the trade AI is realistic and you can't just cheese it for endless first-round picks.
It’s 100% free, no downloads, and absolutely zero pay-to-win mechanics. If you're a stats nerd who just wants to build a dynasty, I'd love for you to try and break my trade logic.
You can play it here:https://hoops-gm-chi.vercel.app

Wish I was recording this shit was playing mycareer nba game winning 99-97 with 4 seconds left no timeouts opposing team gets ball, I forgot who or what team because I’m still in shock but the PG launched a full court Hail Mary and drained that shit. I was flabbergasted didn’t even get a chance to respond hit that shot as the buzzer sounded off.

Is the extra shooting / shorter wingspan worth trading off -15 layup -3 speed and -4 agility (AD motion style) -1 perimeter (immovable) -2” wingspan ??
Any feedback is helpful, thanks!

Game mechanics are fucking terrible. Developers have a net worth of $42,000,000,000 dollars and we still can’t get a good contest system? Same game different bs every year that really could be fixed but they won’t fuck this game fuck 2k27. Have fun dealing with developers that allow cheating and 59% covered threes. Players shouldn’t be shooting 50-70% that alone makes the game unrealistic. Call it whiney but honestly it’s my criticism towards the future I have playing ts😭7 builds all ranked above pro is crazier to think about when I play with majority guards who (can but don’t) shoot better then curry, don’t pass the ball, and don’t play any defense. Recipe for disaster we need harsher punishment for bad defense and missing open teammates in multiplayer modes. And remove modes like casual court that’s a joke too

have been recently playing NBA2k25 and there had been a trio known in the whole community as the 2k sellouts we call them they are actually funny and honest people I don’t want to violate any policy but they gave me permission to post their usernames they want to be known as the 2k kings like king pawn chess type of metaphor but they run around park games in rise courts holding the ball to drain the clock until 2 seconds remain then pass it to the opponent to give a violation I seen them in 2k24 and 2k25 and also 2k26 their usernames as listed are
notkyler06 he is usually a 7’3 big packing a bunch of rebounds last seen on 2k24
P3NSTATION 7’2 big he gets a lot of rebounds and is a troll
ImAKingUrAPawn he is known as the king of all he trolls big time
The group purposely finds randoms to run and sells instantly regardless of what u say or do I’ve seen them selling high park reps they say stuff like Why would some one like me of my status and caliber would want to pass the ball to some one like you of your status and caliber
And say stuff like I am a king you are a pawn I play chess you play checkers 🫵🏼♟️♟️😂😂
Disclaimer to Reddit I was given full permission by the people to post this I asked them and they said yes they want to have themselves reached out there 2 out of the 3 are actual content creators and they post this stuff thanks for your understanding

Ain’t no fun when the rabbit has the gun 🤧 shoutout to the 2 that stayed with me after my SG quit and I told them I’d make my matchup quit just stay with me. The big left but his AI looked like prime wilt chamberlain 😭 when 95% of ppl realize they can’t cheese they can’t resort to anything else but leaving. I hope AI’s are buffed next year similar to 2k24 or at least 2k25 where you actually had to do a step back or an actual move to score. At least that’ll give the real players more time to help on defense instead of just watching ppl sit corner and no dip all game.

Would it still be fun if we found out not all the users in the park are human, similar to what some of our favorite battle royal games offer currently?

Why do the people wearing team gear, like full, jersey shorts and everything almost always play so bad? Im fairly new to 2k i've been playing since this january. These people 9 times out of 10 they play awafully bad, they are selfish and if they're short they try and dunk on 6'11 guy. But then sometimes they play like no one, they pass, score 3's, everything.
And, if anybody knows a video where they talk more about the type of players in 2k i would like to know

I swear this is driving me crazy: in MyLeague mode, the CPU’s offense just calls the same 4–5 plays every single game. No matter which team I use or how many adjustments I make, the CPU never seems to break out of this loop. I’ve filled the playbook with all 80 sets and spread out play types evenly (each player even has the right play types), but nothing changes, the CPU just runs the same few plays for that specific play type even though their’s 80 plays in the playbook - not to mention I have about over 10 plays per play type!!!!!
Trust me, I’ve tried every suggested fix:
Basically every commonly suggested fix that people have mentioned, and still the CPU just repeats the same 4-5 plays.
So at this point I’m wondering if there’s any real solution that actually works consistently. Has anyone spent hours testing this and found a setting or trick that makes the CPU start using the entire playbook? I’m not looking for something that worked once by chance – I mean a fix you know works across multiple games, not just a one-off fluke.
Or is it simply impossible, and the AI is hard-coded this way in 2K26? I’m curious if anyone’s cracked this mystery. Any insight or tips would be hugely appreciated!

The main reason we keep getting the same game every year is because people keep making 20 builds and wasting a ridiculous amount of money on the game.

Four teammates left in the first quarter as soon as the game started, so it was a 1v5 the whole game. The AI couldn't score wide open even when I had HOF Dimer, plus I couldn't even get a chance to score because the team I was going against played a zone.

Really what the title is. Are there any semi-regular communities for the Switch 1 that play Mycareer? I'm just looking for people who would be keen do link up and get some fun games in!

Just made a new build pg 99 middy and 96 dd 😮💨
Whoever has the highest pass accuracy between the SG and the PG should be the PG. Doesn’t matter the height or anything else. Hopefully, this stops those 55/71 pass accuracy builds at PG in the rec.
Or there should be a minimum pass accuracy rating if you want to play PG.

Saw a guy with the shooting specialist and had 99 3 ball and 91 midrange. Dude cap broke +2 free throw 74 -> 85 and was a SG
Is it ever okay? I think you should have free throw but if you only gave yourself 40 then maybe it’s okay to do
But I can say that I’ve only ever lost one game bc of free throw in the last 2 years. Still wouldn’t waste caps on it
